I just did the silver trim on the grill with straight black. I think its kind of pointless doing the whole grille, but thats just my opinion.

They're not clear. I guess you can't see the orange in the black and white photo

I've dipped the all the chrome on my car with plasti dip! its great, especially on black. i attached another photo. the only thing is be cautious when you wash your car. some of it can come off, and you can get fuzzies from your cloth stuck to it. good luck!
