  1. I got to see this bad boy in action at Subiefest Florida, it sounds mean in person! 20231007_124647.mp4
  2. I don't do highway pulls for long periods, but my driving is spirited when I am not just driving a mile or two.
  3. My max psi is 20 ish and can go to 21 in the cold, I have been on that for over 6 years. I think the most important thing for longevity besides a bit of luck, is probably allowing the engine to get to operating temperature before throwing boost at it. That way the heads and block heat at the same gradual rate along with the head bolts.
  4. When I clear codes/ecu reset I turn the key on wait a minute or so let the throttle rehome and adjust, then start it up and let it idle for a few minutes to set all the throttle parameters before driving.
  5. Overboost was a common issue on some cars, its not consistent.
  6. Cold weather, wastegate not opening all he way, tune needs adjustment.
  7. You might also consider joining the 5th gen legacy gt Facebook group, someone there may recognize the car. I remember seeing that intercooler with the reflective heat wrap, but not on which platform, either here or the FB group. I would have a tuner look at it for sure. They should be able to tell you if it was tuned or not.
  8. There is a footwell illumination kit for this gen of legacy, why not buy it and then you don't have to hack up the wiring harness. Or at the very least get the installation instructions, I am sure they are on the forum somewhere and use those to guide you to the proper wiring and connectors.
  9. I was able to reattach the original foam to my aluminum radiator with some double sided foam tape.
  10. In case you didn't know the slew of lights is merely to get your attention to the Check engine light being on. They are meaningless by themselves, the CEL is the actual issue there. I would find a pdf of the service manual if you want to do the maintenance yourself, the pictures and descriptions are excellent along with the trouble shooting guide for diagnostic trouble codes.
  11. The SSM is a dealer only tool. I don't know if there are equivalents in the aftermarket, but you could likely find an independent shop with one.
  12. Since the parking brake pads are literally only for parking, unless someone engaged the brake for an emergency stop, which would likely damage the module or servo. The brake shoes should be intact. Now that you mention the brake getting stuck on, did you manually release it with the tool? I would look at the condition of the module before I decided to replace it. If it was manually released with the tool it should just need reprogramming.
  13. The module has to be reset or programmed if anything is changed so it has/maintains the correct tension on the parking brake. In regards to the scanner, I think you would need a subaru specific module or the ssm3 to be able to reset the epb tension. If you have the correct tool you can do it at home, of course lol. I would also check to see if the recalls were performed on this car, there was a recall for the parking brake on some years/models but as I recall the autos got a tsb not a recall.
  14. Looking at the specs of the ez30 and ez36 there is an 11mm difference in stroke but the 3.6 is almost square 92mm bore x 91mm stroke, the 3.0 is 89.2mm bore x 80mm stroke. I still think the block itself will be the weakpoint along with the oiling system. Of those two I would use the 3.0 with the cam phasing and valve lift control for the most power and tunability.
