They're not paddle shifters per se. If you see on the steering wheel, each side has a plus and minus button (that kinda look like volume up and down buttons). Those are the up and downshift buttons (05 and 06 5EAT). 07+ 5EAT models have steering column mounted padde shifters (2.5GT, 3.0R).
