Thanks. Those converters are very popular in Jamaica, but the radio stations are not as clean and when you try to use an mp3 player with an FM modulator you get a lot of distortion, and its very hard to find an unused frequency.
That's why I was hoping the radio could switch the frequency range itself.
I have a JDM McIntosh radio and I would love to know how to change the frquency range if anyone can help. It is definitely a McIntosh. I have a JDM 2004 Subaru Legacy that came with the radio. I tried the hold down AM thing and it didn't work.
As far as I know the AUSDM McIntosh which is imported by the Subaru dealers in Jamaica have the same radio, but with a USDM frequency range.

no, you don't send in your entire transmission, just the Valve body and solenoids. If you can find someone selling their stock VB, so you don't have down time, that's the easiest way, but not too many of those floating around.
