  1. OK, so while I was changing out the plugs I thought of two things.... First, the engineering design meeting at Fuji Heavy Industries where all the Japanese guys sat around a table and said, Aw, yeah that will be OK.... that number 4 ignition pack will be fine... nobody will have a problem with that.... And second, I envision the #4 pack being the first thing they put on the production line and the rest of the car being built around it. Although it was not the most difficult work I've done, it was still much harder than it should have been.... I mean.... they're just spark plugs....right? OK, I'll stop complaining now-- the car runs great and the next time will be a lot easier.
  2. Excellent call on this! I happened to have one in the tool box and it really helped a lot. Thanks for sharing this useful tip! jd
  3. Glad to find this thread. I've also been having this issue for several years. I'm running stage II with header, up, down and mid pipe and stock cans. Suspension is Bilstein HD with STI Pinks and butt shims. I also have cusco bracing front and rear and Cobb sways. It seems to be worse in cold weather. I've done a lot of reading but do not see a clear answer. Could this sound be observed when the car is on a dyno? The first issue is to determine WHAT is making the noise. The second is to figure out WHY and then prevent it.
  4. My Cobb front and rear have been in for about 1.5 years. I've had no problem with them or the Perrin endlinks. Neither was a difficult install. The resulting improvement to the ride- particularly on turns, exit ramps, etc. was second only to installing my struts and springs. It nearly eliminated the body roll experienced by the stock suspension. Best bang for the buck IMO.
  5. I ended up going with Cobb front and rear bars and Perrin end links. I really like the Cobb rear bar and the reinforcement brackets that they include in the kit- first rate IMO. The front bar is also nice- both together gave the car a very different feel- almost no body roll. Some say that the front bar isn't needed, but I changed them both out as a matched pair. It is not a difficult DIY if you have the hand tools, space, and a little time.
  6. bump again- thinking about installing the Cobb sways in my 05 GT Ltd, but want to make sure that this will work ok out of the box from Cobb. I've heard that Cobb is no longer offering the endlinks- does anyone know why? It would be nice if they would weigh in on this....
