  1. Yeah, I too was considering whether replacing my Legacy for a manual WRX over concerns with the CVT but I felt I'd be losing out because of all the options I have and the extra space. This is Subaru's way of saying: "We stand behind our CVT" Kind of a heaven sent for me and if anything I should just start saving in the event of a failure, have a fund to cover any if any repairs. I would love to keep it until the wheels fall off. . I already have the extended gold warranty but this adds that extra level of assurance. Any idea how long one can extend their extended warranty? OP, thanks for the post! BTW, Anyone by Niagara falls with a manual Legacy? I'd love to see one up close. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  2. How are they holding up so far? I'm about to snag these up! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  3. I'm wanting to get the harness as well. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  4. You have my attention. Also seen your post for the fogs! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  5. What did you get for the DRL high beams? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks, that narrowed it down a bit. I'm guessing they should last a couple of years before burning out. What about the fogs? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  7. I had a wrong post. Anyway I'm wanting to pull the trigger on LED's but having a hard time deciding. Been reading through the post to decide my best option. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  8. Not to beat a dead horse but 2015 and later model's head units hardware are capable of carplay and Android auto via a reflash/reprogram but it's not in Subaru's best interest to do so. The fact that you plug in your device via usb and mirrorlink will communicate with it is confirmation that it is capable and can be done. A software developer/coder can download the firmware from an existing Subaru and flash it to a 2015-2017 and tweak it accordingly but no one's willing to take on the task unless they are doing it for themselves or there is a good amount of $$$$ involved. I know there are developers over at XDA that can accomplish this. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  9. I agree. They should have made it the same as the B4. That's a nice looking rear bumper! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm sure that with some patience and ingenuity someone can retrofit a head unit of the same type meaning one with navigation to a previous model with navigation and so on. Sure it might mean swapping pins, plugs or splicing wires but it's not impossible. I've seen people do this with head units from Lexus to Honda and so on so it could be done. I may take a whack at it if I can find a head unit for the right price. In the end I have navigation and am happy with the setup I have and yet I still find myself using Waze and Google Maps on my phone, go figure. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for this post. I too am hearing this sound. Sounds like a clunk at cold temperatures when starting the car up in the morning. Seems to go away after the car warms up. I will wait and see how everyone's repair by the dealer holds up. With so many steering replacements this may become a recall or TSB but who knows. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  12. I agree with everyone regarding the head unit. I would definitely pay to upgrade or swap. It's not a new model redesign so I am sure the actual din size is the same. If there's a need to swap pins in the plugs I'm willing to do it. I agree that is the better option than replacing with an aftermarket. Whether I get it from Subaru or flea-Bay it doesn't matter to me. I am patient enough to wait as I have waited this long. I don't need a newer model of the car I currently drive. I am happy with my purchase and plan to drive it till it dies. The head unit is the only upgrade I really would like to have otherwise. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  13. The thing with Mirrorlink is that sometimes it works off the bat and sometimes it takes a few tries. Things to remember: Make sure you are using the cable that came with the phone Reboot the phone close any open apps running in the background to free up memory Ensure that your device's firmware is up to date Make sure that the Mirrorlink service is running on your device..each device has it's own version. Use applications that are signed and listed on the Mirrorlink website Maybe someone here who has updated their head unit to 1.1 and have successfully mirrored their device can upload a video demonstrating theirs working. 14. I'm not surprised. I feel these folks at the stealership refuse to do anything and when they do they half ass it and rush through whatever they do.
