  1. Noticed a few more quirks that are a bit bigger deal. If you use a mass storage device, one of my main wants, SD or USB, the unit only lets you play from the folder structure. That is to say if you have all of your music organized in a tree (Artist>>Album>>Song) then you can only listen to a level 2 folder...that is, not randomly across artists. How crappy is that! And no playlist support! I do my homework; I swear I saw that it could do this. Looking for a cheap iPod now to wire into the USB port and abandon to the dark recesses of my glove box. :grumble grumble:
  2. Looks like you have the same gap issues I did - on the right side. If you notch the bottom of the AC unit it'll push over. Make the left trim fit better too...mine was so tight I just knew it'd break given enough time. Also, how is the voice command?
  3. Finished this weekend. Pretty easy thanks to all of the info here. Now it is impossible to get lost in this car since it has 2 navigation systems! http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp350/bt_hobbs/IMG_20140315_133835_770.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp350/bt_hobbs/IMG_20140315_134226_509.jpg To get the gaps right I notched the face of the AC unit. The facia snaps off after you take the 2 screws out. http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp350/bt_hobbs/IMG_20140315_154347_184.jpg http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp350/bt_hobbs/IMG_20140315_155621_198.jpg What was installed: http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL029196&pathId=126&page=1 JVC unit is highly recommended. Very intuitive and FAST! There is zero lag from button push to response an the nav is dead fast. Plus, it has NaviBridge so you can use your phone to beam coordinates to it if the POI is not in the DB. Only quirk I notice is that you cannot search for POIs along the route only near you or near your waypoints (no biggie). Also, it doesn't show you the POIs at upcoming highway exits as some do...speed of the unit makes up for this.
