  2. Siper2 (Chris) Dillsburg, PA 2010 LGT Limited - Satin White Pearl Stock (for now ) I've no idea how I didn't see this thread six years ago... I still had my '05 back then. Sorry, fellas! =S2=
  3. Will do. I've only really done five mods to my car, since I bought it in 2008: JDM rear swaybar, air filter (not a K&N, the other one... AEM maybe), Hawk HPS brake pads, Cobb stage 1 ECU flash and tire upgrades. I bought my house just before I got the car (sold a '00 2.5RS for it), and yeah the car isn't exactly a priority. Got a great deal on it though, at the time. Couldn't pass it up - it's got a couple minor issues but nothing that's ever gone wrong. I paid mine off a few months ago, so that's good; I had VERY small payments and could've done so sooner, but again... house stuff! Ain't being an adult boring? Tell me about the springs...
  4. I was originally going to get the Bilstein HDs, but their price is steep and frankly, I don't use my car hard enough to justify it. So I'm going Koni inserts, as well. They seem to be popular here. I have Eibach Pro springs that've been sitting in my garage. Hopefully it'll happen by early summer, I've not bothered modding my GT much since I bought it, too busy with projects for my house. Not to mention my work, my wife's business, travel for various reasons.... blah blah blah.
  5. Does anyone know who has the best deal for the Bilstein HD strut kit, including hardware and spec.B tophats, right now? Fred Beans' price is always $1K, I know I saw one online recently for $850-ish, but can't remember where it was. Been itching to do the upgrade, just never got around to it.
  6. I've not paid attention to this whole exchange, so forgive me if this is incorrect, but... I recall needing "butt spacers" for the rear suspension, with the Bilstein struts and aftermarket springs. Some of the aftermarket vendors sell them, in a couple different widths. Correct?
  7. Oh... there are some installed pics, within the last few pages of that thread, that should help you.
  8. The MSI springs are a good option, I just got my set but haven't had a chance to install them, yet. They're a re-issue of the Eibach Pro Kit. Very mild drop. Here's the group buy thread, they're running $270 shipped now, I believe now that the GB is over. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/msi-sps-performance-spring-kit-129387.html
  9. One of the guys at Fred Beans Subaru told me that the H&R Sport spring kit is somewhat comparable to the Eibach Pro Kit (and, thus, the MSI spring kit). If that's what you're referring to, anyway.
  10. Okay, that's what I thought. This goes as far back as we GC Impreza people loving the old Prodrive WR suspension years ago, being Bilstein products, as they were rebuildable, versus the STi KYB struts which were (and are) not.
  11. Are the HDs rebuildable? I'm sure I read the answer somewhere... but I don't recall.
  12. ^^ Agreed. If it's a minimal drop you're after, I recommend the MSI Eibach Pro Kit re-package group buy: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/msi-sps-performance-spring-kit-129387.html
  13. Indeed, you won't see a cushier ride, with upgraded struts and springs. The idea of the MSI/Eibach Pro Kit, though, is to offer a compromise between stock handling, and lower, more aggressive springs. The same thing Racecomp has with their Regular Guy springs, which just unfortunately didn't work out for we 2005-2009 owners. So, I think the MSIs will be a good alternative, for those of us who missed out on the Pro Kit.
  14. Yeah we're taking my wife's Outback down to SC tonight/tomorrow morning... I wish I could get one of these for her car (it's a 2001). Oh well... if we keep the car, I'll get a new head unit for it.
