  1. I can't seem to locate the PCV part # in the parts list. Anyone have the number?
  2. Installing this unit was the first time I had ever done any soldering before. I decided to use an old PC card I had lying around to do some practice runs to get a better feel for how much solder to use and how everything would work . The contact point you have to solder the wire to is small, but keep your hand steady and you will be fine. Just position the wire on the contact point, heat the wire with the gun, and then add some solder. I only used the equivalent of 1 drop and mine has stayed connected with no issues (even with a high milage stock suspension and Michigan roads). Give yourself enough time, have a small tip soldering iron, and practice first. You should be fine.
  3. Received my Leptronix aux-in and was able to complete the installation last weekend. The instructions were excellent and the install was very easy. This was my first attempt at soldering anything pcb related. I did some practice runs on an old 56K modem I had laying around - figured I probably wouldn't use that again. The trick is to keep a steady hand and use small amounts of solder at a time. You don't really need much. If you can wiggle the wire and it stays attached, you are all set. I put the jack in the armrest cubby. The switch was installed in the hole for the cig lighter per a suggestion ealier in this thread. The lighter is easy to dissamble. The lighter sheath is resting on a white adapter circle. I painted this black and glued the switch into this. I then used a couple drops of glue to secure the switch/adapter assembly to the ligter hole in the ashtray. It is nice and hidden and easy to access. The sound quality of the unit is excellent. It is very user friendly and switches over instantly. Worth every penny. I haven't been able to use the mp3 player for 3 months. I forgot how nice it is to have one in the car. Thanks Sebastian for a high quality, well built, fairly priced unit.
