  3. Brandon I did the bottom seat bolsters, and it definitely made it more comfortable to sit in, but didn't help with containment. And by containment I mean keeping my ass from sliding out like a real bucket seat lol. That part is still limited by the design of the seat, I wonder if there's a way to bolt something on the side of the seat, but it might make it more difficult to exit. I was only able to stuff half the cushions (about 1" thick) and it felt like the leather was about to tear so I didn't over do it. I can understand why you used PVC in the beginning, seems like that would be easier to fit evenly. I doubled up on the side bolsters, so now it secures my mid-section more. Btw, after two weeks driving with this mod, my lower back feels so much better from driving long distance. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/blklgt05/280D7F87-C9F4-4692-B214-E36A9C93D1DF_zpskmf5bzaz.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s253/blklgt05/8FD3BE2C-AFBD-40D5-9B11-AF4D78212059_zpsvnolxrie.jpg Also updated the first post's parts+instructions for anyone else reading this.
  4. I bought bongee cords and more of the same high density cushions to beef up the bolsters even more. I'm trying it with and without the bongee cord in the mid section that goes across laterally and I was able to sit just a bit deeper into the seat without it. However, I did use two bonged cords as you described to pull the wire frame downwards so it says in place lol. Never thought of using this, thanks! Will post pics after I finish doing the bottom seat bolsters.
  5. Upon further investigation, it was carpet... my apologies for doubting you On the other hand, why did the dealers use a carpet? Don't understand the purpose or what it has to do with the lumbar support hook that kept breaking.
  6. Lol, I think that doormat thing is OEM, maybe the outside protective cover is gone. The thing that the dealer originally replaced was supposed to be the cable hook. I'm gonna take apart the passenger side and see what it looks like, that seat back has never been touched.
  7. I got the car new, I think it might be one of the first two dealership lumbar support repair. Looks like they removed that white protective cover. After that hook broke for the 3rd time I repaired it myself lol.
  8. Oh I see, that's just part of the original cushion/support I believe.
  9. Not quite understanding the object you are describing, are you talking about the leather seat gap filler that's between the seat and center console section?
  10. It's outside of the metal frame, I think once you open up the back it'll make more sense. This is an easy mod to do, it's cheap, and I wish I did this on day one. No more sliding around. Btw, I had lumbar support all the way down to sit deeper into the seat. Normally I have to have lumbar support when driving due to lower back strain, but not anymore.
  11. Yeah he made a thread about it back then, I think he used a PVC hose or something, not too sure. Maybe he'll see this thread and drop a link. I looked at the bottom seat just now and looks like you can put cushion in from underneath, just need to remove the plastic cover. Not too sure on how to reach the other side though.

  13. Nope, but shouldn't be too hard to figure that out. I'll tackle that next week!
