  1. My O2 sensors read fine, when I pulled my exhaust and cat'd downpipe to change my clutch it looked fine. As I said before I've been using this for years with NO issues.
  2. 5 year old topic but ok. I've used it in my car since I've had it (since 2011) and used it as I stated on the first post in my old car. No issues what so ever. Cat is perfectly fine. I've also experimented with it in my lawn mower. I pulled my cylinder head on the mower prior to seafoaming it. Ran it in the gas for a season then pulled the head again and it was noticeably cleaner.
  3. Hi, this is a question for people who have several dozen time slips stashed in your car. I've been running test and tune and stick shift classes at the drag strip since I've had my 08 Spec B and in those 7 years I've never asked what RPM other people are launching at? I've been launching at 5,200 to 5,500rpms with decent success 1.7/1.8 60's and I've only broke on motor mount that had 60,000ish miles on it. Is there a better RPM to launch at? I was doing this on an OEM replacement clutch (6 speed) with 322 wheel torque. I just switched to an ACT HD/SS with an oem STI flywheel and it feels like it's a little more rev happy. I am just wondering if I'm launching too hard and what the consensus RPM is.
  4. Ok, I've been thinking of doing this. Forgive my lack of knowledge but I've heard the 2008 Spec B has a VDC, what does that entail?
  5. Hey, is your name based off Strongbad E mails?

Still looks about the same. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=141604&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1360456211 In winter trim- 17" wheels and snow tires
  7. Ok so after owning the Spec B for about a year I finally read this whole thread (hey I have to do something at work), anyways I've used Red line 5W30 since I bought the car and have noticed a very tiny amount of oil use if any (and it could all be in my head). So my environment Michigan- as warm as 102 in the summer, cold as -12 in the winter Test and Tune 4-5x's a year, might autocross next year. 10,000 miles a year mostly freeway Change the oil ever 3 months even if were not at 3000 miles, OEM blue filters I like the Red Line but have heard people like Infamous us the Rotella T-6 5W-40 are there any drawbacks to switching from Red Line? Form reading it seems most people love the Rotella.
  8. Total newb question I know. On the GM L67 (supercharged 3800) this is something we did all the time through the vacuum. Didn't bother the coating on the supercharger rotors or cause any other issues. Before I do this to the Legacy I'd like to know the conciseness.
  9. Sorry it took so long to reply. I couldn't figure out how the get to my profile.lol I'm running a shorty Dp to a 3" hi flow catt, then Borla muffler that "Y"s to two 2.5" Magnaflow mufflers. I got the mufflers for $300 and the install was another $300 about 5 yrs ago. My car is very quiet and I don't get any drone in my wagon.
  10. Hey can you send me the particulars on your exhaust and how much did it run you? You have the sound I'm looking for.
  11. Does anyone have an opinion on Red Line VS Mobil 1. I know y2kimports.com swears not to use synth but isn't that what came in the car???
