  1. Im in the same boat on my 2005 Outback XT. 128kmi on her and the pedal hit the floor while I was pulling into a turning lane to goto work. I almost rear ended the car in front of me, somehow I was able to avoid them. Fluid leaking at the rear connector block like they all do. I had the wqk-47 recall done 7/2014. I work at a Subaru dealer and had the service manager submit an auth. to Subaru for replacement. A week later he informs me that Subaru is willing to cover the parts cost but not the labor. It should be the other way around, I pay for the parts and they cover labor. What gets me is that late last year my friends 05 legacy with over 200kmi had the same issue and they covered the labor and parts. I understand that the car is 14 years old and all, but how Subaru picks and chooses to cover or not cover complete costs is beyond me. I was thinking about picking up a 2020 obk xt, but this kind of puts a sour taste in my mouth. Subaru is cheaping out on their product as I have seen in recent years of working at a Subaru dealership, but using sub-par parts seems to be the norm for many auto manufacturers now.
  2. My 2005 outback xt 5eat just needed a bit more performance, local tuning in my area is far and few in between so I contacted Dave for help with the tune on her! Midway through when i started my initial tune late last year (yes I might have the longest etune known to man- no fault of daves) I maxed out my stock injectors as the wastegate on the bnr turbo wasn't flowing well enough to taper boost. Dave suggested either honing out the Watergate or upgrading injectors and getting a wide band gauge, I went with the latter. Long story short my tune is at the end now and the car is running great. Here's my mod list: Bnr 16g turbo DW740cc sidefeed injectors & DW65c fuel pump Grimmspeed ebcs Grimmspeed top mount intercooler Invidia up/catted dp Nameless cat back Ipt turbo/avcs feed lines Hexmods valve body Killer b oil pickup tube Just hit 100k on the clock recently, time to change plugs, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, water pump and some idlers. Also have a Grimmspeed aos ready to go on as well as a trans cooler. Thanks Dave ! Your very patient.
  3. Did the bnr16g install a few weeks ago and everything went well with the oil line kit, but one thing that was weird is the double banjo bolt threads were tight into the avcs oil hole. Is this normal with this bolt? Sent from my SGP311 using Tapatalk
  4. To remove the stock oil hard line, is intake plenum removal necessary? I am installing a bnr turbo soon and got a complete oil line kit. Sent from my SGP311 using Tapatalk
  5. DiD the install a few weeks ago and it went fine, I just wish I had the proper banding tool to get the metal ties tighter but it has been fine thus far. I had first realized I had the end tank problem when I saw a little oil showing up on top of my turbo heatshield. http://i.imgur.com/LiEtWYs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/37IF2ze.jpg
