  1. what happens if you have to reset it or something else that won't work via touchscreen...?
  2. two questions EB50 how do u turn the unit on/off? and how do u have the sound from it routed?
  3. wait did I read that wrong or did you just say you are TRYING to develop something alone the lines of a brand new heat/AC control unit aka instead of the subaru heat/ac controls something else would be going there? THAT WOULD FREAKING AWESOME. btw...can u post a picture of one of those audi's with the translocated HVAC units please. I mean my idea isn't fully though out but if you could theoretically just extend all the cables of the entire HVAC unit to locate it somewhere else then all ud need to theoretically do is remove the cd changer and slide the bugger in ur armrest lol.
  4. like this http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=4&i=146935&t=146935 but not as gay.
  5. at least perservence is something you guys know a lot about. im proud to say that you have done a lot for the community. I wish I could help somehow with this, but definitly not an electric wiz. by anymeans. lol although I've had various ideas. most people want to put an aftermarket unit their to do away with the HVAC all in one unit and we are stuck with it all being one unit. so here are some of my ideas is there any way that instead of doing the HVAC circuit board surgery you were able to just keep the circuit board but remove all of the radio components and then angle the circuit board down flat and then replace the heating/ac unit buttons and display somewhere else. like if the buttons and display could be custom mounted to a different bezel while the HVAC circuitry was just layed parellel to the ground underneath and aftermarket stereo. to explain with slightly more clarity my idea, I've seen pictures were different car guys routed the controls of their ac/heat units to a different location for instance to place gauges or a stereo, not their stereos were not as complicated as ours but it is the same basic idea. I would hve no problem with the heat/ac controls being located in the trip computer.
  6. if im not mistaken an intercooler plus a stage 2 setup is a stage 2.5 set up..aka what I have. therefore with an intake its a 2.65 lol
  7. Sometimes i wish i could put my stock intake back onto my car, but having a FMIC i cant. At this point it would be a cascade of things that needs to be changed to just go back to stock intake...I.e. Change my intercooler set up, change my foglight set up in my JDM bumper(otherwise there would be gaping holes) then change my intake then change my AP custom tuning map. No point, if only there was a "silencer" for an intake.
  8. id like to put my two cents about the Hog-Zawst...i had done the stage 2 on each side (8 washers total) when i had a completly stock exhaust and absolutly loved the sound of it ...but since then i have gotten a catless uppipe, and a catless midpipe as well as an XO2 intermediate pipe(with the resonator) nd Y-pipe...i tried doing stage 2 Hog-zawst on one side (2 washers on each of 2 bolts on one exhaust)...i got pulled over in about 8 minutes after i pulled out my driveway, i got away with saying it was n exhaust leak becuases i told the cop to put his hand under the car and see that one exhaust was complete with out any leaks while the other one had loose bolts therefore it was leaking. he gave me a verbal warning and sent me on my merry way ....then i went stage .5 (1 washer on one bolt and thats it) well with stage .5 you would get the woo woo effect ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n79jSzKA0L8]YouTube - Woo Woo[/ame]) at about 5000+ RPM, below that it sounded good, except at idle it would make wierd burbling sounds...so im back to stage 0 aka catless turboback exhaust+resonator+ stock mufflers
  9. your avatar rules

    is that your car sick!!

i want to get something like that in the future

  10. you can go the HIGHLINE route and have them take ur Automatic Climate Control Bezel and fabricating in a double din into where the stock radio is supposed to be.
  11. Yup unortunetly. I have decided to take CD6, and instead of making a 75 min silent CD. i now have a 40 minute silent CD, and at 40 minutes it beeps(track 2), and just in case track 3 is another 35minute silent portion with another beep at the end of that. Just to say in my mind "JON CHANGE TRACKS NOW!!!"
  12. there is a trained auto-audio tech named HighLine, they are trying to make this piece work. as far as i know what you bought will b absolutly useless to you becuase it will not connect becuase of a different wiring internally.
  13. well im using the jazzy aux in mod, and the blank disk is in CD6, and it has been in CD6 for the past 60k miles i guess. So at 41 minutes it will skip till 43 minutes and then itll be good until 67 minutes and then skip till 68 minutes. this is my 3rd blank cd that i have made and they all do this at those exact times.
  14. BUMP FOR HIGHLINE. My HVAC has gone APE SHIT lol. CD6 will not play anymore.
