The insert "pops out" without any hacking. You can put it back at any time. It will free up the back to pass you wire. But I didn't test it yet with the video cable. I'll try to do that tonight and keep you updated!

Fits like...a glove! Just remove the insert where your owner's manual is and you'll have just enough space to push your mac mini right in. I'm still waiting for my DC-DC Regulator and my Power cable kit from Mp3car to complete my installation.

Any chance you can do it for the driver side? Most Steakth boxes for audio set-up are already made for the passenger side. My 2 cents. Very promising either way! It's also a good thing I didn't bought or built my sub encloser yet!
