  1. Duly noted! I'll post a link to it on our local club forum (http://www.ottawasubaru.com) to see if there would be any interest up here.
  2. Doesn't this kit work for more than just the 05-09 LGT? I seem to remember SeeYa doing it on his current generation WRX. Would it be worth reaching out to some of those owners as well?
  3. Thanks BMB for getting this done! I may have read this in the original thread and forgotten, but why is there only one short piece (for the front passenger corner) and not four (one for each corner)?
  4. PM sent! I'd buy a kit. I like the idea of using stainless steel zip ties in place of the bolts too if that's an option.
  5. I did this last night and it was a lot easier than I expected. Thanks for the write up!
  6. The old Toshiba 9011 were a spherically-shaped bulb but they aren't manufactured anymore. The Philips 9011 don't have the spherical glass so they look like a normal 9005 bulb however they are still an HIR bulb. From Candlepower/Daniel Stern: "PLEASE NOTE: The Toshiba 9011 (HIR1) lamps are no longer manufactured, nor are they available in large quantities. Philips has been making the 9012 (HIR2) type for several years and have only recently began the 9011 type. Be wary of cheaper "Knock-off" lamps. These GENUINE Philips 9011 is a direct replacement for vehicles and trucks which were designed for this type. Additionally, this bulb can replace the 9005 and HB3 for special service applications."
  7. My STI MC&BB came in today. It's going to sit in the shed until spring, but I got the brake booster, master cylinder, and the vacuum hose with check valve from ebay seller silverlineparts here: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/370282909074?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%3A80%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D370282909074%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1#ht_1080wt_290 (No affiliation, just a happy buyer) I'm looking forward to installing it and feeling the improvement!
  8. I'll probably wait until after I switch the BB & MC so I can make an honest comparison, but pads/rotors and caliper rebuilds are definitely on my list of things for the summer. I'll spend some time between now and then figuring out which ones to use.
  9. I've got an STI BB & MC on the way. My car is 100% stock so I'll be interested to see the difference this makes on brake feel. I've definitely noticed the difference in braking feel as compared to most other manual transmission cars I've driven and I'm hoping this changes that!
  10. I got it the other day. Now I'm waiting for the rest of the wiring I want so I only have to go into the dash once! Thanks again! Check the first post of the thread. All the info is there.
  11. Good to know! I liked the idea of the Griffin AutoPilot but I want to keep the install as low profile as possible and just have the two cable (30 pin and 3.5mm) coming out of the centre console as required. Thanks for shipping so quickly!
  12. I just ordered the Leptronix unit from RedFloyd this afternoon. I'm excited to try it out as it looks like a great solution to the lack of auxiliary input on the Legacy. I'm planning to connect a PAC Audio IS75 cable to the Leptronix unit using a "3.5MM Male To 2 RCA Female Y Cable" [ame=http://www.amazon.ca/Cables-Go-3-5MM-Stereo-Female/dp/B00187QK58/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324323832&sr=1-2]like this one[/ame]. This should allow me to play audio and charge my iPhone using only the 30-pin Apple connector, as well as providing a regular 3.5mm plug for any passengers with other types of phones/music players. This all makes sense in my head but I'd be happy to hear from anyone about why this will/won't work before I start the tear-down on my radio!
