  1. This issue just started with my car. The symptoms I see are exactly how the car would react when trying to start the car without engaging the clutch. If I turn the key on and off a few times, the car will crank and start normally. Here is what I have checked so far: 1) Battery good, fully charged, terminals clean. 2) Checked as many grounds as I could find. All clean and secure. 4) Checked all fuses I thought might affect starting. 5) Checked starter is good, as it will crank if jumped directly from battery. 6) When experiencing the issue, there is no signal going to the starter. 7) Bypassed clutch safety switch 8) Checked starter relay. I swapped with another relay and did not resolve the issue. At this point I'm thinking maybe it's something with the ignition switch or immobilizer system, but I don't know how to check those. Any tips on further troubleshooting, or should I take it to the dealer??? Here is a video showing the issue. Thanks for any assistance.
  2. I got them from a local seller. Paid $600 for the set, but they were in great condition, and I got to inspect in person before purchase. Found them on Facebook marketplace LOL.
  3. I get fuel starvation at the track on long left hand turns when I have below 1/2 tank of gas. I'm thinking of a simpler solution than a surge tank and found the Holley Hydramat. I thinking I will build a drop in setup and just swap out my new setup with my existing setup. Existing setup is stock housing that M Sprank installed a Walbro 255 into some time ago. How I'm thinking this would go is: 1) Get this Hydramat: https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/hydramat/hydramats/parts/16-102 2) Get a new Fuel Pump Housing 3) Get a new Fuel Pump for the housing (Recommendations I have 460WHP). Thinking DW300c. 4) Install fuel pump into new housing. Modify housing so that I can run tube from Fuel Pump intake to the Hyrdamat. 5) Pull out existing pump/housing. Drop in this new one. Issue I see is it seems from looking at pictures of fuel pumps, the intake doesn't look like it's made to have any hose hooked up to it. It just has that "sock" type filter on it. Anyone have any thoughts on this or advise? Thanks,
  4. You can see my full mod list here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JxnmjggqB40--i4kAZi4VOQyceTxzPM5F8cOr_88ZX8/edit?usp=sharing However here is the minimum you will want to do to have a decent suspension setup to lower the Outback XT. 1) Decent Coil-overs (like Fortune 500) or Legacy GT Strut/Spring Assemblies (https://www.completestruts.com/product/19915/front-rear-quick-complete-struts-springs-assembly-2005-2009-subaru-legacy) 2) Legacy GT Upper Control Arms 3) Legacy GT Rear Bump Stops 4) Whiteline Roll Center Adjustment Kit 5) Rear Sway Bar -------------- For even better setup, add 6) Whiteline Adjustable Rear Lower Control Arms 7) Whiteline LCA and RCA Bushings 8) Whiteline Ball Joints 9) Front Sway Bar 10) Sway Bar End Links
  5. It was the best spot I could mount it. I used a Gopro Tripod mount that I could bolt down, and the AP to Gopro mount adapter from MachV. The stick-on mount kept falling off.
  6. Here is a video I did last fall, but it's not very good. I will be making a better one in the spring.
  7. When you do the brakes, swap it to Legacy GT brakes. They are bigger and will be direct bolt on. Won't be too expensive if you get parts from Rockauto.
  8. It's holding up. I just got a compression and leak down test just to check and it got a clean checkup from the shop. As far as what I would do differently, I really spent too much money on this build, but it's holding up and really the amount I spent is still less than a new car that is this fast, and it won't have the utility.
  9. Yeah I just unplugged the steering angle sensor and it disabled VDC. The traction control off light stays on. Sorry I don't have a picture of the fmic with the bumper off, but I can take a picture next time I pull off the bumper.
  10. I had the same sticky dash issue. I think it still cost me like 500 at my dealer after SOA gave me a "goodwill" coupon for $500 I believe it was. There is an extended warranty on the dashes for 10 years from Subaru. My warranty expired about a month before I really realized I had a sticky dash. At this point likely only people with an '08 or '09 might be covered by the warranty.
