  1. Are you rapping now? I'm confused. I thought this was about fuel additives.
  2. I received mine yesterday! It looks great! Thanks again for offering such a unique item for the Legacy crowd!
  3. I just bought one!! Come hell or high water I'll be stage 2 by next weekend!
  4. I'm having a used 5eat installed to replace mine that is breaking. I'll be getting your valve body upgrade when I return from my summer internship. The shop doing the install recommended I replace the Axle Seals, the pump seal, and a new filter kit. I know the Axle Seal is straight forward but not sure about the pump seal and filter kit. Does the filter kit entail screens and filters inside the tranny? Also not sure where the pump is. So, for the FAQ...what should I do to properly prep a used 5eat to increase its longevity?

  7. This is my subscribe/bump/ILOVEREVERSENGINEERING shout out. Keep up the good work for us slushboxers (get it?) I've considered the IPT valvebody upgrade, heck I've even told myself I would treat myself to their full race transmission when mine checked out. But the mystery behind it all has always kept me at bay. I feel if it wasn't a scam (not saying that it is), they would love to share at least some general information about the modification. If this all comes to fruition I'll just by up 10 or 15 5eat's (and this mod as well) and have them for parts/replacements to keep it at 100%
  8. I heard that just upgrading the engine oil in a stock legacy will beat the pants off a "stage 2" legacy any day. Suckers And to the above post, you know, it just has more like in it, like, you know?
  9. Yup. The whole switch assembly is set in the door. My switch had been stuck for a couple years and finally it broke free. It's still attached but I now have auto up and auto down. The switch kind of free floats and i get the motor overheat relay cut off all of the time. This is because I have to reseat the switch in the right place every time. Kind of a hassle but I've gotten used to it. I've considered rebuilding it but I don't really want to lose my newly acquired "auto-up" feature
  10. I've installed hundreds of Yakima racks. The instructions leave a little to be desired but the measurements are spot on. It does help to be familiar with racks in general (pieces, parts, etc). If you buy one from a good shop they should offer to install it for you.
  11. Nope, there are 2 places within 2 hrs that suck a lot usually(Wintergreen and Winterplace). Snowshoe in West Virginia is fairly close and that's about the biggest resort around here. Still sucks though because it's mostly manmade snow and short runs. My brother lives in Golden, CO though and I've already got my plane ticket. I just feel all giddy inside thinking about backcountry cornices, mmmmmmmmmm.
  12. I have had a THULE set-up on my car for over three years now. I worked at Blue Ridge Mountain Sports and we sold Yakima products there (a THULE sales rep was dating an employee there and he hooked me up with the tower, x-bars, fairing, and a ski rack for free). I love the Yakima accessories but I like the THULE rack system much more. The tower, bar, and fairing design are all much better looking and easier to use IMHO. I've carried four bikes, four kayaks, a snowboard w/ 2 sets of skis, and some miscellaneous cargo. I'd say Yakima and THULE are equal in quality. I think THULE's roof rack is sleeker and Yakima's more basic accessories are better than THULE's. Don't buy anything else than those two companies though or you will get some cheap crap.
