  1. Yes, SMFW. You're saying step down to an "OEM" Exedy and it will hold better than a Stage 1?
  2. OEM Turbo, TMIC, Up/down Stage II something or other on the COBB, E85 tune at one point. 1) Original clutch couldn't hold and died a premature death. 2) ACT went in with flywheel. Complete POS. Heavy, binary engagement, chatter, smells. 3) Exedy "Racing" Stage 1, SMFW. Heavy but lighter than act, proper engagement, no chatter....just started slipping and smelling after ~20K. In the market for a new clutch. Would love to know what people are running in cars with 300+ whp. I've have bad luck with Subaru clutches. (ACT works great in the Miata.)
  3. Small issue attempting to replace the axle using the "Apex-XT" method. The inner boot completely severed and the entire joint pulled out of the green cup which remains lodged in the tranny. So, anyone have any tips on removing green cup? Never mind. The cup was popped loose from the procedure and it only took a little crowbar-lite to pry it out.
  4. No wagon specific indicated anywhere, just says Legacy GT 2005+. The part number on the box is SKS70 BUB00.
  5. BBS RE 18x8, 50ET Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 225/40R18
  6. H-Techs Reasonable drop, supple ride at 80K on stock struts. Will upgrade to Konis at some point.
  7. Yes, the famous "you've got oil" sensor. Completely useless! Chris, hope the new motor works out. However, if you want to do an engine build I've got a 97 block laying around somewhere.
  8. I love my Stomung! The old old group buy had plenty of issues, but most of them were related to getting enough people, then deposits, then backing out...etc. Stromung delivered once the all cats were herded. I understand they even pulled the wagon jig out of the dumpster for the 2 or 3 of us rocking grocery getters. I watched that last GB in horror. Sounds like "Scott" turned into grumpy old fart? It's too bad. The exhaust itself is pure balls.
  9. #1, 2 typically aren't "the problem" with these cars. It's the back half of the motor which runs hot (#4 in particular) due to sub optimal the coolant route. The motor was designed as a transverse mount with the thermostat located at what is now the back of the motor. Fix it with a simple reroute. How did the cylinder wall look? I had a RC injector stick on mine and it polished it to a mirror. Injector test come back?
  10. Ok, Invidia up and down are in. That alone (still stage I) yeilds a small but welcome bump in performance and response. No up leaks after a few days so stage II reflash coming up tonight or tomorrow. Question: What are the options for aftermarket heat shields? Is there anyone local that has the Cobb?

    Thanks,
