I actually went a different route with the install, and drilled a roughly 1" hole in the conical section of the dust cap. I placed the wires and all in the cap the way you would with the lows (with the H3 wires going into the normal cap receptacle), and just had to finagle the wires around to get the cap to go on. It might've been more of a pain to get the cap on, but I think it's way better than hacking up the H3 HID bulb harness and potentially voiding the warranty from the HID company (DDM in my case... lifetime, so decent).
