  1. Hey everyone. I have a 2013 Subaru Legacy with the 2.5I. I had the exhaust replaced from the cat back less than a year ago. I had noticed a month or two ago that the car was getting louder sounding. I took the car into the shop for an inspection and asked for them to look at it. I was told it was an exhaust gasket. I figured ok its basically brand new a gasket going bad no big deal. I waited to get the repair done and found time to take it into the shop today. The exhaust guy at the shop told my wife that the catalytic converter is bad, and it would be $1500 for the converter and would be about $2000 for everything. I thought this seemed odd. When I went to pick the car up the guy told me that the flange was almost gone and stuck in the catalytic converter so there wasn't much, he could do about it. So, I think the cost of $1500 is a bit high for a catalytic converter for the car. Last year when I was looking at things, I ran across some for about $800-900. Maybe I'm wrong but like I said it seems high to me. I also don't feel like I'm being told the truth. I plan to lift the car and inspect it. I live in NY so I know it has to be a specific cat but can anyone help me point me in the right direction on what I could be looking at for parts and what could be changed at worst case scenario if I do it myself.
  2. I tried using some plastic x from McGuires. It cleaned them up a little bit and helped the lighting at night slightly but I might need a restore kit or sanding them down
  3. They are faded. I wouldn’t say yellow but they look like there’s a hazy to them and I can see why light is diminished. I wouldn’t mind trying a restore kit but I wouldn’t know where to start. I know I’m the past I tried on kit it was like $50 on another vehicle and it didn’t seem to do anything at all. I’ll look into those lasfit bulbs.
  4. Hey everyone. I have a 2013 legacy that I love but driving at night is brutal. I have a thick film over my headlights and even with brighter bulbs it’s like I can barely see. I would like to upgrade the lighting but I’m not really sure what is out there for options. Do I just get replacement headlights or is there something out there better to upgrade too.
  5. Hey everyone. I have a 2013 legacy that has a few issues I’m looking to fix but not sure how to proceed. It started shortly after buying it and I lost the aux port that I could plug my phone or iPod into. Most recently I’ve had issues with the Bluetooth connecting. I’ve noticed that my phone connects to the head unit roughly 45 minutes to an hour but very rarely is it any sooner. I’m not sure if it’s just age or somethings broken but I would like to try to fix it. My first thought was just put in an aftermarket head unit but I’m not sure how complicated that is versus just putting a stock head unit back into it.
