  1. I have all those tools in that pic. Plan on doing the plugs very soon. Thanks for the suggestion of tool choice.
  2. So you ended up keeping the bolt. I'm about to inspect mine but still 50/50 on replacing with new or remove.
  3. Nice, I am looking for a grill right now. Same situation I don't want to spend that much on a grill then paint costs. Rather modify the stock grill but not sure yet. I keep all my stock parts to return back to OEM when i sell the car. Where did you buy the RREV grill?
  4. Can't tell since it's blacked out. But in the picture you posted before painting it looks like it sags. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a332/jrroszko/2005%20Legacy%20GT/Grille%20Comparison/DSCF2326.jpg
  5. u can still see the gap on the RREV grill but much better. all these aftermarket grills are fiberglass so it's going to chip and wear either way. but thanks for the review.
  6. I'm looking to trade my 05 black heated cloth for 05 black heated leather. Front and rear.

  8. im trying to find the post where someone posted a letter from subaru listing the procedure to remove the filter and not keep it in. My understanding is that for people that pull out the filter for the 1st time and it is clear with no particles then the OCI are being done on time. Removing it would be the choice as the engine oil filter is doing its job. If I found particles in the filter I would put in a new banjo bolt and check it again after a few oil changes until it was clear. Then remove it. That is my opinion.
  9. Wow 150+k with stock turbo. Nice man. Do you have the correct p/n for the banjo bolt with screen and washers. Ive seen like 3 p/ns floating around on the forum. Going to do mine soon. I want the p/n that includes everything. P/N 15194AA110 or 14445AA090? I checked both p/ns and they are different prices.
  10. i like these wheels a lot on the wrx. flows real well but I just can't seem to like them on the legacy. I think the Rota Gravels flow better with the legacy.
  11. keep us posted. get those special sockets for stripped bolts. i'd like to see the mesh filter if all maintenence was done. the bulletin for the oil change interval didn't come out until 2009 so up until 70k the dealer was prob doing the 7500 service.
  12. How many miles did it have on it when you bought it? Did the previous owner do 3000 mile changes? As for getting the bolt out do you have stubby wrench? Soak it in PB blaster.
  13. Thanks. So it's a lose lose situation. I guess the only preventative measure is to make sure to do the 3000 OCI and check the filter every time. I'm going to attempt this soon. I'll probably buy a new bolt and filter but the damn thing is $11. Do people really replace it with a new one every oil change? I'd expect just an inspection and replace the copper washers only.
  14. are you leaving the banjo bolt out or keeping it in? I've read through this thread and half the people say keep it in and others say remove it. Will removing it cause any debris or metal to get into the turbo?
