  1. FWIW I was never able to center mine either after multiple tries. I got it closer though.
  2. I just helped install one. Easy stuff. I am impressed with the attention to detail on the coding (I have developed electronic devices before). Nicely built too.
  3. we are going to need you to get a better camera looks good though. With some heat and patience its not hard to do the grill with vinyl, I did mine. But as mentioned, flat black paint would work too. If you have left-over vinyl I would just re-do the grill. Does water bead up on this stuff? Do you ever have to treat or finish it? How do you wash it? How do you deal with tar and sap?
  4. yes get a tune. see if that helps, I imagine it would.
  5. I wish I had that hot pipe. I am holding boost but I am surprised I am able to just looking at the connections. Mine did not line up well either.
  6. As an update I am hitting 18 lbs of boost now after installing a smaller pill. Things look good and I finally sent Infamous the first official 3rd gear pull with everything working. The vf43 pulls hard in the mid-range. wowza. great street turbo for the money.
  7. I have not found that method very effective for leaks that show up in boost. Its easy to have a leak show up under boost but hold fine under vac. Have someone rev it to 3k RPM while you squirt foaming hand soap (refill) on the connections. That stuff bubbles very easily when there is a leak, but stays bubble free if you use a large syringe (don't use a sprayer). I found it to be a very effective way of finding leaks.
  8. your core is way more on center than mine. congrats!
  9. I just pressurize through the turbo inlet (I take my intake off), and I don't do anything else. I don't cap the TB end. Is that bad? I only use about 10 psi and find most of the leaks that way. I use foaming soap refill, it works great. Just suck it through a wide syringe of sorts and squirt it on the coupler connections.
  10. I did a log today. Hit 13.5 psi and held it pretty far out. 250 g/s but still tuning maf, so not sure how accurate that is. My WGDC is beyond the target (initial) table, and pretty much pegged at the max WGDC table, which I think means I have a boost leak. Still. hmph.
  11. Bryan, My pipe does NOT look like this. See how the left side is shorter in the above pic? The pipe I have is 2 left sides welded together. I would say my pipe is at least 2" shorter than what is depicted above. Because of this, I am having a heck of a time lining up the pipes (as you can see in my posts). I did not even think of this, but I should have looked at Balrock01's pipes when I was over at his house to see what his looked like. crap.
