  1. The new Silverado/Sierra trucks have screens in place of the rearview mirror. It's a mirror when the car is off and turns into a screen using the backup camera when you start the truck. I'm not a fan because you can't adjust the aim at all like you can with a mirror.
  2. I didn't get that R&R comment until I looked into what... grade... of business they are. F is about all I can see.
  3. I did some light reading about the Q50/60 and it seems the transmissions are the limit in those cars? I don't have much room to talk - the ZF 8sp auto trans in my BMW is limited to 475tq input. Apparently I'm also limited to 360tq input or something in 3rd and 6th gears too... probably has to do with how the planetaries are and keeping it safe. I guess this is another reason I should keep it stock.
  4. I feel bad for Ricciardo. Dude's a solid driver with a trash ride, aside from Newey's aero magic.
  5. How? I've been reading that the only way to make a ton of power on these engines is not with more boost but more timing and fuel. The stock turbos are almost out of their peak efficiency range as is, especially on the RS models. That said, I'm still trying to figure out how AMS got their R60RS with bolt ons, stickies and skinnies, and a tune to do 10.2 @ 138 or something silly.
  6. I had to rewind it on my DVR a couple times to make sure that's what was said... hilarious.
  7. As much as I liked the coverage of Kimi and Hamilton, we missed out on the mid-pack battles entirely. Vettel recovered nicely but Hamilton's going to take it. Vettel needs wins and Hamilton to finish outside of the points (or very low) the next 3 races.
  8. Never did I expect the race to play out like that. Good race.
  9. Unrelated to a Q50 but with my F10 535i xDrive... "I need to keep this stock so I can save for our wedding... But if I get a water meth kit, it'll keep my intake valves clean and I won't need walnut blasting... But then I need a tune to use it properly, and I might as well get some power... But then I need a down pipe... Shit. I haven't even made the first payment."
  10. This, especially. Just so I can hear him say something like "I won because I was fastest, I don't know what else you want me to say. Don't make it so complicated" or something on the podium when Couthard won't shut up. I too root for Haas because 'merica. I don't know why I saw it just now (I guess it's a couple years old) but the in-car footage of Darrell Waltrip in a V8 Supercar at Bathurst? Man, that shit's funny.
  11. It was Ferrari's fault for Vettel qualifying dismally... they wagered wrong with the intermediates. As for him getting into it and spinning... I have to admit, he wasn't innocent but at the same time, I wouldn't consider it a racing incident either. From what I saw, if they didn't interlock tires/barge boards, he would've had tires in the grass. That's not leaving a competitor enough space.
  12. Agreed. BTCC and V8 Supercars always seem very on edge (almost every picture shows them on two wheels mid corner) but US drivers always seem to go as fast as possible on 4 wheels but have to save tires and gas.
  13. We need V8 Supercars here. Don't give me that BS that it's NASCAR because it's not.
  14. Other than Max's stellar 6-7 opening laps, that race was dreadfully boring. I did read a piece that Hamilton suggested running Sochi in reverse to make it more interesting.
