Installed the hogzaust today on my 2.5i... only took about 20 mins total working time and cost $1.50 for 12 washers, 4 of which I didn't use but purchased just incase I wanted stacks of 3.
Sounds pretty good (35 degree weather out and I keep the windows down to hear the new sound), but I do plan on getting some better mufflers in the future. Mainly for looks as my stock cans are a little dirty/rusty and the tips are tiny.
The bolts looked pretty rusty so I was worried they were going to be a pain to remove, but all I needed was a cheater bar. I used a short piece of 1" pvc pipe I had just laying around slipped over the handle of the wrench and it created enough torque to twist the bolts off with ease. The threads themselves and nuts were in great shape so I just reused them, but I did buy some extra bolts and nuts just incase (which ended up being too long anway so I just returned them).
All it would have taken had I not reused the bolts:
8 - 3/8" washers
4 - 1.25" to 1.5" bolts and nuts
Thanks hogmeat, neat little idea.
