  1. Hi, Sorry for the late reply. Just wanted to link to a fix in case someone stumbles across this post. If you have the p1710 code, it is due to "torque converter turbine 2 speed signal circuit malfunction". This is a small HALL effect sensor bolted onto the back of the valve body in the 5eat. In the '08 and up cars it can be replaced individually without needing to replace the entire valve body. I found the fix on subaruoutback forums here: https://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/109-gen-3-2005-2009/499945-repair-p1710-hard-shifts-5eat.html The thread also has a couple of links where you can buy the sensor which is about $100 and looks identical to the stock sensor. There is also a DIY-type fix posted with a generic HALL efect sensor you can get from Amazon. Hope this helps someone.

  3. Hi All, Could someone please post the links to the parts needed to make this EBCS work for the MY10+ GT? (Just to make it really clear for the noobs like me ) Cheers, Rift.
  4. Yes, thought about shocks but planning to keep the current ones a bit longer, around 90K km on them. The GT comes with Bilstein shocks in Aus, but they are one of the low end models I am told.
  5. Hi all, I am.planning to lower an MY10 legacy GT wagon to improve the handling and get rid of boat-like feeling when cornering. The car has a 22mm whiteline rear sway bar. I have ordered a set of H&R springs which lower 1.3". I am going to have a whiteline caster kit fitted and get 4 wheel balance when installing springs. Do I need to do anything else when lowering like camber bolts (front? Rear?) Thanks for any advice or help. Rift.
  6. A retune would fix this hole. Wait to retune if you are planning more mods. If you are not, then may be worth it anyway. Can't comment on 3.6 but it made a nice difference to 3.0R.
  7. Ended up doing the install on the intake hoses. It was a bit of a pain till I removed part of the wheel arch plastic liner. Fitment of the Samco hoses was great. Re-used the old ring clamps. In theory it may reduce some intake restriction. (http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0652/article.html)
  8. Hi, Sorry for casting resurrect on this thread... Does anyone have any tips on installing the Samco intkae hoses? Cheers, Rift.
  9. Hi, I have had my folks completely stock 5EAT MY06 Liberty/Legacy 3.0R e-tuned by Dave from cryotune recently. This car is an Australian version and the stock tune is actually unsafe for our hot conditions. The car was experiencing knock on the stock tune and IAM was under 1.00. Dave was very patient and even sent out multiple beta revisions to get rid of the factory knock and make a safe base to tune from before he asked for any money. This is easily the best bang for buck mod for a stock 3.0R. After tuning the car has really come alive after 4000rpm. It just wants to rev out to redline and the engine note is sweet and addictive. You feel like kicking down a gear to hear the engine sing now . The tune has also made the car safer by getting rid of knock. My folks report the fuel economy has gotten a bit better from 13.xL/100km to around 12.xL/100km. Very happy with the tune and only wish it had been done sooner. The tune is how Subaru should have sold the car in Australia. Cheers.
  10. I was hoping they would. It's not in this catalog from nov 2012: http://www.cusco.co.jp/en/parts_product/2010_up_subaru_legacy_touring_.html
  11. Is there a version for right hand drive cars? The brake master cylinder is on the right.
  12. Apparently stops the firewall flexing when you press the brake pedal. It is supposed to give better brake pedal feeling.
  13. Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a brake master cylinder brace available for the 2010+ LGT. Or even better, a front strut tower brace with a built in master cylinder brace? Cheers, Rift.
