  1. They look a lot better than the STI BBS! Post more shots so we can get a real idea of what these babies add to your car
  2. That is my favorite shot of your car so far, frickin beautiful with the overcast lighting and rain drops!
  3. He needs a signature that says: Don't feed the trolls.
  4. Really? You have to pay to play (even at a measly 2 MPH). $278 sounds way steep to me. Did you have any other tickets or "problems" at the same time? On a side note, my insurance agent said that cops in my area have been cracking down for this (1-3 MPH over) because they are lacking funds.
  5. Lowwill, while your wagon is very nice looking, this is for the 2004 and older wagons, you need http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/need-see-hooked-up-wagons-26202.html. Post it up in there!
  6. update, I do not like the idea of widening the car, but possibly lengthening it instead. While the trunk may not be usable with the skis, boards or bikes on the rack, taking them off you would still be able to use the trunk, especially if you made a rack with a hinge to allow the part connected to the trunk to fold up separately from the trunk, allowing you to then open your trunk. The hinge would then be able to lock back down in place and allow you to put your skis back on when you are done accessing your trunk. All of this probably does not make sense and I will need to try and make models... Sorry guys.. (again, just thinking out loud and trying to think outside of the box)
  7. So I am assuming a hitch mounted rack would help reduce that deficit? I wonder what the outcome would be if you were to somehow mount the rack system to the C pillars and trunk, or strictly the C pillars (for a usable trunk). While it may look different, it would certainly help reduce the initial wall that it creates as the wind hits it going over your windshield. Anything of a smaller size (skis and snowboards) would be able to fit perfectly fine, they might make your car a little wider, but not by too much. Bikes would definitely be protruding up into the wind that is rushing over the roof of the car. This is strictly me thinking out loud, and outside of the box, so please feel free to help with any knowledge you have. The biggest question now is whether the increased drag on the rear of the car would hurt your mileage more than having the wall on top of the roof..
  8. When you talk about the racks affecting your MPG, how much is it really dropping? 2-3 MPG?
