  1. A lot of the 05s have 2004 build dates. My model year 2005 will turn 20 years in 3 months...
  2. Looking for some interior bits: - Airbag module (I'll look for some pn info to verify what and where) Depending on how much you want to faff with the carpet there's a wiring harness under the passenger seat I need as well. - how's your center cubby? If it's not cracked I'd be interested - Did you have steering wheel stero controls? - Ebrake boot frame None of this is emergency, it could wait a few weeks until you get around to it (Edited airbag instead of abs.)
  3. I've been rocking poorly done white painted stock wheels for about 18 months now. As warmer temps are approaching and starting a new job, I'm thinking I may finally pull the trigger on golding my OZs. In the meantime, I'm getting really tempted to go gloss black with the stockers. For lolz. For MORE lulz, I'm debating passenger side gloss black, and driver's side rustoleum's finest gloss red. I need reason not to. Plz advice.
  4. Washed it yesterday afternoon just in time for pouring rain on first day at new job.
  5. I just came here to post that! No way I'm going to be that dude at cars coffee lol.
  6. You should be able to tell a vf40 from a vf52 by housing. 40 compressor housing is most round, 52 is more sculpted.
  7. Looking nice. I'd like tint eventually, but can't help feel the average tint shop won't do a great shop with 20 year old frame-less windows. For mine, I bought the HVAC driver side blend (I know that'll be a fun job) and the Mode actuator. Looking forward to not having constant heat as spring rolls around, and being able to use the windshield defrost along with foot well air flow.
  8. I think we may be there! Looks like 05-07 dashes are nla per heuberger parts site. Man that's awful. I don't have any trees near my driveway, but I make certain my household lets our cars sleep in the garage. What condition is that dash in?
  9. Well... There's a high likelihood at the moment that if these are still around for another 12 months, I might come a-knockin
  10. Lol! "Subbed for when I need it..." Hey guys what's that one thread where someone talked about a thing that might have been tangentially related to something I might need to do??
  11. Thanks - it was super easy to search, just thinking out loud in probably the most active thread on the site. This is the one I think that has post covid availability and cross referencing discussion, along with the hvac whole unit. And because I'm dumb, I had posted a few times in that thread lol
  12. What's it going to take to get you and mike to finally commit lol I'm envisioning putting you both in some remote cabin for a couple weeks, several bottles of lagavulin along with your entire legacys featured in jdm magazines stash On mine - we had an unusually warm and humid/rainy January day yesterday. My driver's ac vents have switched to blowing hot all the time, from always blowing cold a few months ago. The heat was almost unbearable without opening the windows. Looks like tearing the dash up to replace all those servos is jumping to front of the wishlist line. Anyone have a quick thread to reference for what's still available? I recall some 05 stuff is NLA?
  13. My most common thoughts: - moroso pickup and stock pan. Way less $ for something that won't see competition. - intercooler? - tuner can recommend which fuel pump they like - arp head studs. Drop in solution. - "The right stuff" for Subaru gray bond substitute or whatever. Readily available, comes in cheez whiz can for easy application - Engine gasket set. Buy for your heads. For reasons related only to availability of rebuildable heads, I used D25 heads for my 2005 car. I bought the gasket set for the 2011 wrx I used heads from. Maybe you can pick and choose which gaskets you need individually, though that gets super time consuming. Thinking about your budget now as my mind goes to "while you're in there" town. Maybe do a compression and leak down test on the current block. I can see spending $4k on block, turbo, heads, tune and fluid damper. See what you can reuse.
