  1. I plan to replace my board (it is around 5 years old) with a new one as the driver speaker cuts in and out. It looks like the GLI now connects directly to the Jazzy board. Does the square housing of the GLI fit inside the radio chassis or does it need to go outside? If it is outside, is there enough cable on the GLI to have it on the outside of the radio or do I need to run a small amount of cable between the board and the GLI? Thanks
  2. Thanks for your post. iPod works fine with headphones and other devices. I am thinking it might be the barrel connectors that connects the iPod cord to the Jazzy board. Hoping it is not the board itself.
  3. I installed a jazzy board back when they first came out in 2006. It worked great for years but lately, I have had an intermittent problem with the driver side speaker. The speaker loses all sound for minutes at a time before coming back on. Both speakers work when I play the radio or put a regular CD in the changer. I would appreciate any suggestions. Since I can play a regular CD with no speaker loss, does that mean that I have a connection issue between the iPod and the board and not with the board itself?
  4. I have a Jazzy board that I installed back in September 2005. It still works great. We recently got a new iPod Touch. I understand that it will not charge with the old cable but I get no sound from the unit where my old iPod Photo works without issue. Am I missing something on the iPod? Is there some kind of control on the iPod that I need to adjust or do the older cables not allow for the sound signal to go to the amp?
  5. The stereo shop where I have had some work done was interested if the Jazzy board would work in the Tribeca. Does anyone know if this has been determined?
  6. JAZZY, I'm done and it works! Took me a while, do not normally do this type of stuff. At you suggestion, I installed the ground loop isolater. I was pretty nervous when deep into the radio but took it one step at a time and it worked out. Sounds great. Thank you for all of your hard work and making this an option for others. Francis
  7. I received my aux-in unit it the mail today. It looks great! Thanks very much. Stupid question, the RCA mini-jack does not plug all the way in the aux-in, it still has about 1/8" exposed. Is this a problem? Should I attempt to cover this with tape?
  8. Thanks Ken. I will attempt to do it the same way. Francis
  9. I covered the front of the headunit with painter's tape to prevent scratches. That made it a lot easier to work with since I could turn the HU on it's face to access the rear screws. A 6' mini headphone jack cord was enough to route all the way from the headunit to the center storage console under the armrest. Following Craig's advice, I applied medical cloth tape to the plastic parts on the center console to minimize rubbing and squeaking. Ken Ken, Did you set it up so the iPod is being charged? How did you bring the mini-jack up through the storage console, drill through the bottom of the console? Thanks, Francis
