  1. So I've tried to bring up that thread and I get a page that tells me I don't have permission to access the page. Are you sure the link is correct? I guess I could do a search, but I thought I would let you know the link is bad.
  2. It sounds to me like what you're describing is the lack of damping that these cars have - even when new. The stock suspension is not at all stiff, it is quite soft. When you hit a bump or pothole the stock shocks struggle to control the wheel movement. As a result you can feel quite a bit of harshness when the shock runs out of travel. The hard part is finding parts that will provide additional damping without adding any harshness. You might want to try riding in a Spec B which has a somewhat better suspension. If you are happy with that you could put something similar on your car (Bilstein HD struts/ spec b springs). The other thing you could try is a slightly larger tire (224/45/17). A little more sidewall will absorb some of the impact harshness. The stock size of 215/45 doesn't have much sidewall. And the RE-92s have extremely soft sidewalls so they need a good amount of pressure.
  3. The 17x7 GT wheels are 21 lbs. The 18 inchers on the speculum b are heavier.
  4. there are many other options out there. these are just too spendy for what you get. i bought a set of used forged monoblock volks LE37k 17x7.5 ET48 for $1000. But there are new wheels that you can get for that price, they just won't be forged.
  5. a good quality liquid wax will take just about anything off but you have to apply it liberally and give it some time to do its thing. i use McGuire's liquid wax to get off tar balls that won't come off with anything else. it works great and its much safer than scraping...
  6. while swapping out a downpipe over the weekend i found that one of the bolts in my turbo was gone. it's not a stud, it's one of the top nut/bolts that holds together the turbo/downpipe and heatsheild bracket. i called my local stealer and the guy said he couldn't find the part number, he needs to call subaru and get back to me!!! can you find me the part # ?
  7. i'm having trouble getting bilstein strut mounts. the front is 20320AG000 and the dealer can find that part. but they can't find the rears. I had them try 2 different rear top mount numbers 20370AE000 (from Renick's page) The dealer tells me this is not a valid part # I also tried 20370AG000 (from page 1 of this thread under JDM parts). My dealer tells me this is coming up as a Canadian GT rear top. According to the dealer catalog, 20370AE00A is the rear top mount and it fits everything, including Spec B and the 000 number is for Canadian Legacy GT. Can anyone clear this up? I want the spec B top mounts because I'm getting bilsteins. I know the GT ones should work, but I would rather get the spec B part if anyone knows what it is... Thanks, erik
