  1. I used these on the rear of my 97 Legacy Outback with Megan Coilovers.... http://www.hrsprings.com/products/triple-c/
  2. No trolling over here. Im 30 and have two engineering degrees, one being automotive engineering, main study Mechanical Engineering... The speed limit is 30, they were traveling so fast that the front of the forester clipped and bounced my 26,000 lb dump truck across the yard.
  3. NOW!!! Lastnight a drunk driver veered off of the road into my driveway and smashed my 04 FXT in half!
  4. The guy kept driving and I didnt get a tag, It happened so fast I couldnt even tell what kind of truck it was. No body damage. Just the wheels and struts. Even the $1000 tires are still ok! I swapped to some steelies from a first gen forester and swapped back to the OEM struts. Then I had it inspected by a dealership in Columbus,Ga. They said nothing is bent or broken. Going to pick it up Tomorrow. Plan on rebuilding the coilovers again and buying some used wheels then putting my tires back on. Gotta get it back right because it was riding so nicely.
  5. Welp a drunk driver ran me off the road Saturday night. Curb cracked two of my wheels in half, and dented the other two. Also the front passenger coliover complete snapped in half.
  6. 04 STI Springs on KYB Excel-G Struts for a WRX wiould be much softer and have great ride quality.
  7. I will be modifying my spare tire well this weekend also to fit a 25mm adjustable Cobb rear sway bar (designed for an 04-08 Forester) as well.
  8. Im running 245/40R18 with no wheel spacers without any scrub. Camber is moderate but definitely not "stanced". Running Triple C Camber bolts in the rears. Front camber plates are set at Zero. Fender is about 3/4 from outer diameter of tire all the way around. OEM sway bars for the moment. But the ride quality is excellent. The dampers' setting are currently set right in the middle between stiff and soft. Will get a pic sometime today.
  9. Havent driven it yet. I guessed at a preliminary coilover length based on the OEM struts minus 2.5" all the way around as a baseline. Then Installed them and the wheels and put it on the ground. Next I measured from top of tire to fender on front and back to see how much lower I wanted it. Took the wheels back off and adjusted height of coilover again. Should be good to go now, but I have to bleed the brakes first. Because in order to remove the OEM struts all brake lines had to be disconnected and routed through a hole in hte backet on the strut. Should be back rolling tonight hopefully.
  10. Just installed a set of Megan Racing "Street" coilovers designed for 03-08 Foresters onto my 97 Legacy Outback Limited. Everything fits right up. (except brake line mounting which was already known, but zipties will fix that). The only downside is that the front camber plates do not align horizontally. I tried rotating it in the three different position and just used the closest one to horizontal.
  11. Looks like you have a Legacy Wagon and mine is an outback. I should see a noticeable drop and stiffness especially with the STI springs. Still insearch of tophats 02-07 WRX, Forester, Legacy.
  12. '98Wagon, Are you saying that I can use my stock 97 Legact Outback tophats with the 02-07 WRX Struts and 04 STI springs? If so that would be awesome. OR are you saying that I have to use 02-07 tophats and they will interchange/fit on the 97 body?
