  1. My passenger air bag was replaced today and I left the dealership thinking my fob battery died. When my backup didn't work either I knew something was wrong. How hard is it to plug back in the key fob sensor? Where is the thing hiding? Is there another trip to the dealer in my near future?
  2. Yeah I figured they wouldn't use a standard key. I have a spare that you could have had if it was the same lock. I doubt a dealer would be able to help, but it couldn't hurt to ask. If not maybe a locksmith? Good luck
  3. Do you see a code on your locks? For example mine says "E" and then a 3 digit number?
  4. Nice, post some pictures when you're done. I'd like to see how it turns out
  5. I watched the YouTube video on your link, and that idea looks much better. The only downside I could see is that you'd have to remove the rubber stripping from the top of bar, in order to access the channel. I personally think that the bars would likely whistle pretty loud without that rubber top. If you're planning on keeping the ski mount on your car permanently then you might be able to cut the rubber top to fill the gaps.
  6. The Canadian OEM bars do fit the US wagon. It really wasn't that big of a deal to track a set down. I think I called 3 different dealers getting the same quote from the first two, then the 3rd had a used set, which I bought. It was worth it because I have yet to see nicer bars on this gen Legacy.
  7. I examined them before installing them, but I did not see any marking of any kind so sadly no. I also looked over the instructions they sent (in both English and French) to see if there was any manufacturing info, but no luck. As for SBT's question, I know very little about plane wings. But the sharp edge is facing front (see second picture below). And the smaller but thicker rounded edge is towards the back. I assume they go on the car this way because the Subaru badge faces forward (the instructions are kind of vague). I haven't noticed any wind noise at all which was my wife's major concern. Once they were installed my wife and I were on the highway with the radio off and still couldn't tell a difference in sound (with or without bars). The low noise might be due to the rubber strip which covers about about 90% of the top face of the bars. Note this set didn't come with any plastic strips to reduce noise like many of the other racks I've read about on this forum. Overall, I am very happy with my Canadian crossbar purchase and I can't wait until our roof mount bike racks get here, and then hopefully some nice weather No more laying the back seats down and stacking the bikes on their sides, getting chain grease on my interior. I have included two more pictures with a tape measure, it might help someone else out with what accessories that will attach to these bars. Note these bars are approximately 3" wide. http://www.scottabecker.com/newgallery/photos/Misc/My%20Place/Car/web/IMG_7243.JPG http://www.scottabecker.com/newgallery/photos/Misc/My%20Place/Car/web/IMG_7245.JPG
  8. The bars came today, super easy to install. Here are the pics. 9. Found a dealer in the great north that had a used set for $125. I was getting quoted $283 from most other dealers, for a new set. So even though I am getting them shipped from BC I am still coming out ahead. Can't wait until they get here.
  10. I am also interested in these "aero" style bars. Can you confirm that they fit the US rails? If they do I might have to see if any eastern Canadian dealers have them in stock.
  11. One P-204UN radio $15. One SVXdc adapter $35. Having AUX input in my 2005 Legacy ... priceless
