  1. or it was creeping because the turbine is too small for the compressor and gets outflowed... hint hint
  2. its near the engine no, I didn't pull mine off all the way. its probably on the intake manifold though
  3. its not magic, its pixie dust! Jon sprinkles it all over 40BBs for their "better then stock" spool
  4. edmund, have you actually logged the position of the cam to see if it ever got advanced that far?
  5. does anyone actually know the limit of cam advance possible using the USDM cam setup? boostsr20 had 38 degrees of AVCS and I was under the impression (as were a lot of people in that enginuity thread) that ~30 was the max our cam gears could do
  6. wow, yeah, thats really dangerous. should probably... uhhh... not do that.
  7. yeah, in 93 or 94 they were a 5MT, but its been a 6MT since the V6 or V7 STi
  8. the STi in the US has always had the 6MT
  9. stock boost target is 6.19 13.54 13.54 13.54 12.96 11.99 11.60 11.22 10.64 10.25 8.51 from 2000rpms-6800rpms
  10. its not OL all the time, it just won't wait to kick into OL based on calc load or other stuff.
  11. heres the interesting thing about running 0 ol/cl delays; the ecu logic just abandons calculated load and RPM params and uses the primary fuel table to set AFRs; it even trims out with the o2 sensor. edit: I was being a bit simplistic with how it acts.
  12. its easier to get to an optimal tune by starting close to one you know is pretty close.
  13. ahh yes, my method won't work for tuners who hide their tunes in real time maps. they would take a little more effort to get..
