  1. What this thread tells me is I'm now on the hunt for a dash pad, so I can ask nicely and have them replace mine when they do the airbag recall Mine is cracked right in the middle.
  2. Yeah, mine was frozen solid in there too. When I did mine, it was too late to go buy a hub puller, so I had to fab something up.. I used a plate of aluminum (1/8 or 3/16" steel would have been better), drilled three holes to go over the studs (had to countersink them to have enough clearance.. argh). Then drilled and tapped a 1/2"-13 hole in the middle - bolted the plate to the hub with the three lug nuts, then threaded a long 1/2" bolt and pushed the axle out. Worked perfectly, and only took an hour and a half to make........ GRRRRR.
  3. There aren't thaaaat many teams around here that are throwing out usable tires on a regular basis But keep a eye out on the forums at sccbc.net and icscc.com as decent used slicks do pop up for cheap every now and then.
  4. Taka used a 1" MC from a WRX instead of the 1-1/16" from an STi He says the sizing of the 1" MC and our brakes (well.. LGT brakes) should be a closer match to the 1-1/16" MC and STi brakes. You're right, it would probably be simpler. I looked at both master cylinders and an adapter to fit the WRX/STi MC to the LGT booster wouldn't be terribly complicated to machine. But yeah, I'll just wait for a bit of time to do the entire swap.
  5. Finally finished my install this morning! Getting the damn arm rest/console off was hard, broke one of the clips until I figured out how they pop out.. Of course, you don't have to do any of this, I just wanted to make it all as clean and stock looking as possible. I ended up drilling a small hole on the bottom of the arm rest storage box (next to the 12v outlet) and mounting a panel mount jack like this: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=219363&stc=1&d=1446922652 wires connect to the stereo cable coming out of the leptronix with a JST plug so it can all be disconnected. Installed the switch in the same position as the leptronix instructions. I've got the iClever bluetooth adapter inside the arm rest box, connected to the 12v outlet and the aux-in port, my phone automatically connects to the BT adapter as soon as the car is turned on For bonus points, I bought a 2nd adapter and plugged it to my home theatre so it works exactly the same at home and in the car Very happy with this, the sound is great, the automatic setting in the leptronix works very well, no silly blank CD to worry about.. Sweet! I still wish I had the JDM double din setup, but for the price.. This is awesome.
  6. duh! I swear I went through most pages looking for something like that I'm gonna look for pics of how the MC attaches to the booster.. Maybe an adapter of sorts would work? I really don't want to do all that work.. :|
  7. Sooo.. Wouldn't the 17/16" master cylinder bolt on to our stock booster? Have we determined which part actually makes the biggest difference?
  8. It's pretty easy if you follow the guide! One tip from me.. Before you stick the board down on the antenna board or whatever it is, make sure you check for clearance for your stereo cable! I glued mine down and only then realized there was a smaller board in front of where I had placed the jack
  9. You mean the outer bushing on the upper control arm - KCA399 - right? On their way, but not on the car yet. From the posts I've seen in this thread, I expected rear camber to be problematic, but not toe. Hence ordering the control arm bushings.. Then decided to just give it a try only to find out it's toe that I can't adjust to spec. Looking at the suspension geometry, it doesn't look like the whiteline bushings will affect toe that much, though..
  10. Just did the swap last weekend. Legacy GT struts and springs, rear upper control arms and bump stops onto the OBXT. Had it aligned today and everything checked out except the rear toe - they could only get it to 0.35deg per side! I believe the spec is -0.1 to 0 per side. A positive angle on rear toe means toe out, correct? Is there an easier fix for getting toe back in spec than spending +$400 on the KTA124 kit? Rear camber is perfect, just toe that needs some help.
  11. Received mine a couple days ago, installed it last night and it works great! Still need to tidy up a bit and decide on final install location for the switch and aux-in port. I bought an iClever bluetooth receiver thingy, plugs into the aux-in of the leptronix and connects to the phone over bluetooth, worked perfectly and sounds great!
  12. Hey folks, new here. I'm in Vancouver BC and have a full set of leather seats in my 06 Outback XT limited. Looking for cloth seats, I believe the seats from a legacy wagon 2005-2009 would work? Seats are in pretty great shape and I'd be looking for an equally good set. I'd take a few bucks or heck, if you can help do the swap, we'll do a straight trade. Also got a leather steering wheel in great condition, same deal. The car has a little over 60k miles. Edit: obviously local would be great, but willing to drive across the border and meet somewhere in WA. Maybe as far down as Portland if you throw in some gas money?
