  1. FYI, your local car audio dealer can install this no problemo. Expect to pay $50 to $100. Professionals will be happy to help, especially with the incredible installation documentation.
  2. I noticed that too, a few weeks ago. Funny coinsidence. The historical influences of Seinfeld are the ultimate source for the tag, which also eventually became the name of my Maine Coon cat.
  3. Tomorrow I leave for another 3 day, 1,200 mile sales run through the Carolinas (that'd be noth cacalaki, and seth cacalaki). I now have enough dedicated music to handle the entire trip with my new Sana e280 - thanks to the Jazz! Works awesome, and install took 1.75 hours for a newb. Only issue, I dropped a frik'n screw driver on the area next to the shifter and left an ugly 3/4" scratch. I'm a dumb arse! That was the only cussing, except of course, when I tested the MP3 player, and it cranked out some Big Wreck and I belted out a happy "ef' yeah!" Thanks for the fine engineering Jazz & Co.
  4. Hey Jazzy, PP payment's in, looking forward to cracking this puppy open finally and going cold turkey on CD's once and for all. Yay!
  5. On the long drive back to VB from Camp Lejeune last night, I noticed all the damn wires in my cockpit: Radar Detector, USB/BlackBerry charger, MP3 player, and started thinking about this forum. I thought, how cool would it be to set up a wireless receiver vs. the hard wired receiver, and eliminate at least one set of wires. I know there are BlueTooth headphones on the market, so I know it's technically feasable, but has anyone seen something like this installed? Would it be possible to mod the mod and get a BlueTooth receiver incorporated in the design?
  6. Make sure you tape the connectors, too (no brainer, but worth mentioning again)
  7. I 100% agree. I think the Apple iPod is a well made product, that works well (my sister has one), but I' totally against the iTunes proprietary download format...not to mention the big fat price tag you pay for the trendy device. I hope Steve Jobs and company has to pay out big time to the "real" Apple, as in Apple Records....
  8. Awesome! Expect a new customer shortly. Grateful for the reply.... mc
  9. Howdy, looks like a buch-o-folks haved droped some minor coin and time into the installation of Jazz-E's hardware and I've read almost 100% positive reviews so far. Major kudos!! But, before I jump feet first into this, I'd like to find out if anyone could provide some "best practices" feedback. You know, like "if I ever do this install again, I'll definately make sure I do such and such..." Or, "Man, I wish I had done this...", or "Man, I wish I had NOT done that...." You get the idea. One of the concerns I really have is heat. I've heard this 6-pack CD player get's smoking hot, and would be eager to hear if anybody's found this to be an issue, and how you addressed it successfuly. Lastly, just to be clear, if I'm using a portable MP3 player that doesn't use the cars 12V DC power (AKA: cigarette lighter juice), do I need the GLI? TIA, mc
