  1. So I found a 04 wrx part out with no engine or trans. I need the subframe, cross member and drive shaft to complete the swap (minus the motor, trans, and wiring) correct? Is there anything else I should be looking for? Edit: Oh and for diffs, which gear ratio should I look for? I have found 3.7's, 3.9's, and 4.11's so far.
  2. Thank you! Does it matter if the car is automatic? Can swap a manual transmission in?
  3. Is swapping the subframes a difficult? The car I will be swapping the new engine and transmission into is an automatic, does this present any issues?
  4. Is merging the harness difficult? Would the Wrecked wrx have everything I need? Or would I still need some other parts?
  5. So I'm looking to do a engine swap (EJ20G probably) this summer. I have a car; 1998 outback. To do the swap I need engine & trans, rear diff, wrx sub frame, and some way to wire it all? Is that correct? I'm looking to do this on a small budget so the cheaper I can go (while still being reliable and not cutting corners) the better. Whats the best way to do the swap on a budget? Look for a wrecked wrx? Buy a jdm engine on ebay?
  6. Never mind the couch, that boy is balancing a house on his head!
  7. I got my legacy on tuesday. We bought It used from NC. It has 135,000 miles on it so the bolts were basically rust rods. Pb blaster did nothing. I ended up using a grinder and grinding the bolts right off. It took a while but at least it sounds amazing! All of my friends are jealous!
