  4. If I got the relay and ECU replaced by the dealer 9 months ago, do I need to go back? Is this a newer relay or exactly what they had 9 months ago? I got the recall notice but does Subaru send this to all owners even when a fix has already been made to an owner's car?
  5. anybody know how to create another silent CD? Thanks.
  6. today, SF Soma, blue LGT wagon badged as SUBARU ARUBA. nice.
  7. I have never tried driving with the sunroof closed and the sunshade completely opened. If this solves the creaking sunshade noise which I've had from day one, i will start doing it.
  8. yep i think black and slotted rotors look much better. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/urabus/subaru/stop_bbk.jpg i've been sort of waiting to see the numbers for the "S" brand here, but actually I don't really care, the BBK works for me, i'm happy, um end of story. oh yeah, it is good to know that you can run the stock wheels with the 328mm kit, now i have 3 sets of wheels that will work on the obxt, whoppee !!!
  9. hey jazzy, I was trying to make a backup copy of the silent cd and twice I got buffer underrun errors. Here's the error message from the 2nd attempt: Write error at 63:42.63 Buffer underrun (code 030C09). What gives?
  10. i'll apologize in advance if this is covered in one of the previous 24 pages of this thread.... For the GLI with the RCA plugs, referring to the 2 brown wires, "Connect the brown wires to ground only if there is no sound out of the amplifier. Connect them both to the source chassis case." In your or anyone else's experience, do we need to use the brown wires? This will probably help me determine where to place the GLI and also what patchcords and lengths to use.
  11. i placed an order on the website (i was probably one of the 1st or 2nd person to use it) and got the board today, thanks. Thanks also for all the white tater tots.
  12. i was about to order the board and GLI from the website. Wanted to make sure I understood the patch cords needed if I didn't want to use a splitter/adapter. ipod-like device -> mini-stereo plug (male) to rca (female) patch cord -> GLI -> rca (female) to mini-stereo plug (male) patch cord -> jazzy board. is that right?
  13. CELs and all this brings up something that's been bugging me. I did a bonehead thing and gassed up and forgot to secure my gas cap. I drove for at least a couple of hours continuously on the freeway and only noticed the cap being off when i got home and saw the flap still open. I thought I would have gotten a CEL with no cap on. I know that some cars even have a warning light if the cap is left off. Is this a case of the AP doing its thing and suppressing a CEL?
  14. thanks for the reference, now my next step is to read up on up and down pipes.... i'm sure more confusion ahead...
