SUBE555
Do we have any members out there with all-motor NA Legacy's? What mod list? Only thing I have is the Cobb Cat-Back on my MY97 LegGT but at one time considered pushing it past the 200hp barrier, but since found it extremely not feasible with the new options out there. The new SOHC engine with the new intake manifold may make the NA engine all the more capable for upgrades.
SUBE555
For those who want to get that extra bit of performance out of their NA Legacy or RS, Cobb Tuning just released a new set of equal-length headers w/ or w/o a high-flow metal substrate cat. It's really nice looking and supposedly performs rather well too. :D
leondal
Have you put those on your car? If so, what kind of results have you seen?
SUBE555
I'm not running them, but from the people I've talked to, performance sounds decent for NA improvements. :) I'm going to be stepping up to a new Legacy GT turbo next year. Saving the pennies for enjoying life this summer. ;)

tora
I'm working towards that, but so far am only sporting intake, headers, hi-flow cat and exhaust. Lightewight flywheel is on the way. Next up will be pulleys, then cams and a throttle body bore...we'll see how things feel with that before some ecu tuning. Don't really want to go beyond that as I will be a poor man. Bane
Hello, I'm a new user as well, is there a product number for these headers from Cobb? I'm running a setup similar to tora, on a '96 Legacy LSi wagon. Custom Ram Air Hood, Custom Cold Air Box, Weapon R Dragon filter and short arm Intake; Borla SS Headers, Custom Mid-Pipe and Borla SS Exhaust However, I'm pretty unsatisfied with my Borla headers. Got them used, and welds don't seem to hold up to well.
SUBE555
You can find their product numbers and info on the Cobb Tuning website. :) It replaces both the cat pipe and header pipe as the header to cat/cat delete section is different than stock, though the bolt-up location to cat-backs will work with ANY unit. Huffer
Quick post, has anyone used mufflers from the following companies: APC DNX Performance (or anything from the Summit Racing catalogue)?

Huffer
AFAIK, equal length headers "mute" the infamous exhaust pulsing to some extent (depends on the actual headers). WRC cars for example run tuned headers and sound nothing like a "factory" STi. So I guess it depends on what particular Honda you're talking about!

Deer Killer
Yes. For what? 10hp up top?
Huffer
The real question is...does it get rud of the boxer burble!?
Again, it depends. I've yet to hear two Subarus that sound alike, even with identical exhaust systems. But it will QUIETEN down the burble - only really well tuned headers will combine the gases in a continuous fashion so the car (at certain RPM) will have lost the burble.
