Can anyone in japan (vendor / dealer / anyone) provide me with information on the JDM functionality of the washer fluid level in the LGT sedan?

We seem to have the light on the dash, but lack the actual hardware to determine the fluid level

I assume (correctly?) that we have 99% of the functionality, just need the part(s) and hook it to the light.

My manual doesn't mention the light, or even show it (but i can see it on the dash) and the tech documents do not mention anything about the light or wiring to the washer fluid.

Can anyone provide me with information ? i can probably source the parts via a friendly dealer here if i had part numbers, etc.

Oh come on now be nice!

Btw all the stupid thing does is light up red when the washer fluid is empty, defeats the purpose of having it as a warning light as I watch my wipers streak across the glass DRY! then the lil light comes on saying it's empty:mad:

Don't worry no one in Japan seems to be asnwering my questions on parts either ( AVO!!!!! ):(

Are you sure its only on empty ? That would seem pretty poor as an indicator then.. maybe it can be adusted? THink of the sensor at the bottom of the tank, detecting empty... just slide it up a bit...

I don't see any sensor at the bottom of the tank! I'll look again.

Is there any sign of a wiring connection unused in the relevant area? If so, it could be checked against the wiring diagram?

Your $1 USD is equivalent to about 95 Yen after conversion costs. Won't even buy a 100 ml can of soda. You may want to start your offer a little higher.

Seriously though - it would be good to know whether this is available or not and what it would take to make use of it if it is.

But have you thought that we can't answer sometimes coz we dunno?

For example, my ownership of a BP was for a month:)) Not enough time to drain the washer tank;)

and they'll say, "light, what light?" why do you think we have a dipstick in the washer tank?

when filling... to guage how much fluid i need to add to top it off... :)

I wonder if this is an LL bean type thing... we have the lights, etc but not the function... like tire sensors, VDC ,etc

Is there a drain on the bottom of the washer tank or do you have to run the washer nozzles until the tank is empty?

Guess us wagon owners have sort of a warning...the rear nozzles stop squirting when fluid level drops too low...
