So how many Subaru owners will be at Rally NZ? Myself and a small group of subie owners over here in Southern CA are going to the rally and hang out in NZ. Hopefully we can meet up & check out the Subaru scene over there.

Sweet, wish I had the money and time to go to rallys. I think though if I went to one it would be rally japan, just to kill two birds with one stone. I want to go to japan, and I want to see a WRC event, so that would be the best place for me :)

Green with envy; please do us all proud and show them that Americans and in particular American Subie fans are good folks (and I won't even make any political comments here).

Check this out for an idea of what's available in NZ, not that you'll be buying a car there but these are the sorts of cars on the roads:

Would love to go but think I will save for the Australian Rally at the end of the season. Make sure u fly the flag and fly the flag high.

All the best boys and have a fantastic time....

Gumby: thanks for the link (I think); now I'm trying to scheme ways we can buy a car and sell it after the 2 weeks are up... We were looking at rentals but there's nothing too interesting other than a Holden Adventura (think Legacy Outback or Audi Allroad but with a 5.7L V8!). We'll probably go with a 2.0 Legacy wagon.

From everything I'm hearing NZers are are a very hopsitable culture and April is a good time to visit – not too busy but still good weather. I can't wait!
