The one on the glovebox is supposedly a DIN slot, but the cubby hole is confirmed to be not wide enough.

I'm sure that you will be able to buy a panel from Subaru that will accept a single or double DIN where the stereo currently is. I would rather have the stock look though.

Supposedly there's already a replacement trim panel available from Subaru if you want to ditch the stock stereo.

The dash hole is for the satnav screen and the glovebox hole is for the satnav disc drive I think, plus some of the satnav equipment also fits under the passenger seat.

It can't be very much, since it would probably just be a plastic piece. Some dealers give away the plastic units right now like the Forester piece that some people use in their WRX.

My dealer will charge like retail +25% they are bastards. I'm sure it'll end up costing $40 or something.
