My friends always go up and do canyon runs with A moded WRX and a 350z also a bunch of other cars that i have metioned in other post. I was wondering if i will be able to keep up in a new legacy. Stock the WRX was right behind the 350z.

I think it has as much to do with the driver as anything unless it is a bunch of straights. You said that you're 16-18, right? I may have you confused with somebody else. Sorry if I did.

Yeah i completly agree with its about the driver. But if you were to put the same driver in any of the three cars would the legacy be a good competiter. Remember these are canyon roads. Im just asking no teckniqly will the legacy be capable

The new Legacy should be every bit as capable. Especially with a couple inexpensive suspension mods and maybe an ECU reflash. Here's an idea, save your money this year by going to a driving school or two and buy the new Legacy next year.
Here's a link to some great reviews of the new Legacy. I know they're not exactly what we'll be getting here in the U.S. but our version should be pretty close to what they drove.

apexjapan.com Definitely. A suspension swap and sticky tires should get it to be as good as theirs. For a point of reference, Paul Hansen told me that their Spec B was actually faster around Tsukuba circuit than the USDM STi. However, a softer suspension is normally used on mountain roads. He told me that he feels that their GT is quicker than the Spec B on mountain (or canyon) roads because it is able to deal with the more rough pavement better. How 'bout them apples?
