Ok, here are some RB GT Sedan Limited pics... looks nice. The car was a bit spotty from rain... not perfectly clean.
I liken the color to Orient Blue on a BMW. Very dark when not directly lit by sunlight. Not sure if the pics show that accurately, but it's very dark. Then, it lights up nicely when sunlight hits it. What I attempted to capture in the pics was the highlights on the trim pieces and body lines when the light hits it. It's really lovely.
Don't know which I'll wind up with, silver or RB. But I'd be happy with either. And for the record, I like RB a LOT better than AB, which is a color I've seen on the road already... on a Camry, a Ford Focus, etc.

That's exactly what I want. RB Ltd. sedan, w/ taupe interior. Stock wheels seem fine to me, only mod would be taking the orange plastic off the front lights.
MAN what a gorgeous car, any more angles? perhaps from the passenger side, or larger front view or rear view, how many pics you take and what resolution are your files? mint_toothpick@hotmail.com If you have a few more you'd be willing to share! Thanks a bunch!

Do u think that will look better in the factory spoiler, or just like this?

Just like this, or with the STI lip spoiler.

No more angles... WYSIWYG. Camera batteries were dying fast. :)

Nice work dave! That color looks great when the light hits it. It's very elegant!

Wow, nice shots. The color looks really rich and deep.
Someone needs to get shots as good as these of the Red!!

I am having such a hard time deciding. I know that silver is a safe choice, but the blue looked so good too. I worry about the blue swirling and fading. I also worry about my ability to keep it clean. I don't think I have the commitment.

Yeah, it's not so much lazy as it is busy.. and lazy i guess
Between house work and the job.. I just don't find time to tend to my automotive detailing.

Ditto that!
Hey, I thought the Dr. ordered a RB WAGON. This is a sedan!

I know! They don't seem to have any pics of the blue wagon. I think I am leaning towards the blue again. It's so pretty, I have a silver car now and while it's fine, it's a little conservative. I think the blue with some bronze rims would be the shizzle.
I am going to scrounge the net tonight looking for a RBP wagon.. I MUST FIND IT!

Hey fellas, you gotta take what you can get. :)
Actually, there is an RB 2.5i wagon in Evanston, IL.
When I saw it, it had yet to be detailed (still had the white plastic on it).
Maybe Dr. Z can persuade Kevin to ride over there again? Then just photoshop these wheels and hood onto it?

I can get you a pick of a regal blue 2.5i wagon tomorrow if the dealer still has it.

Man, that RB is beyootiful! But indeed, it would be a maintenance PITA. And this is a guy talking who washes his car once a week even when it hasn't left its shelter, and waxes five times a year!
Must...not...change...color...

That blue is awesome in the sunlight. I think I'll like the red in the sun, too. :D

If someone can get a pic of the blue that would be awesome. I am right now 75% blue and 25% silver.. I have about an hour left to decide.. my dealer should be calling me back any moment :D
That blue is spectacular..
to all those who said the blue is boring.. but I said it wasn't..
TOLD YA SO :P:P:P:P

Dr. Z, I have your pics of RB wagon and will post tonight when I get home.
It's not a GT, but it will give the general idea. Sorry I couldn't get a good complete side shot because of that tree.

Cool!
I think he ordered RB already, but I'm curious to see RB in wagon form too.

I know everyone has already griped about the amber in the headlights, but what about the amber in those tails? The JDM pictures show all red tails in the wagon. I hope this is just an "i" thing because those rear ambers look very "'80s."
And I hope to god they keep them off of the sedans!

Awesome pics! Thanks a lot! I am trying to get a guy at NASIOC to post pics of his RBP GT wagon but I haven't checked that board yet. If I see them I will cross post them. Very very nice!
As far as the tailights are concerned.. it's nothing some Altezzas couldn't fix. I can't wait to get some Altezzas on my wagon. That's gonna be the hizzy fo' shizzy.
;):lol::lol::lol:
Thanks again for the pics. That is for sure the color I want and am glad that I ordered it as such :D

I've got the navy blue '98 OB, color is great, must be even better now, esp. on Leggy's.

The more I look a that pic above of the silver wagon, the more I want to change my mind back from blue to silver.. I must stay strong.
Oh, and I would never get altezzas.. and friends don't let friends get them either.

Yeah, I am hoping that the regal blue has that effect too. I wouldn't say that silver is boring either. Actually i think it's a great color. It is one of the best colors for the GT. I wish I had a chance to see it in person to compare it to the silver on my WRX.

Similar take here, I hope the AB looks stealthy as it looks richer IMO, not a normal Subaru color. ;) Not what we're used to anyhow.

You might want to get a neck-erchief when you drive around in that altantic blue car.. ;)
Just messin' with you! You know I like that color. It's definitely not for me, but it's a great color nonetheless!
I don't think I have ever seen so many great colors for one individual subaru model. It's almost like they are TRYING! AMAZING!

I could care less about "stealthy." Meh. RBP is a much more unique color.

I really don't think there will be a bad color choice honestly.. I am real interested to see a white wagon with some bronze or gold 18s... droool!

I'm in full agreement there Zevil. I think my fascination started with white/gold after seeing the GG STi Wagon when it existed. Was a beautiful site in white/gold.

I hated the day that I had to cancel my white with gold STi. The house was jsut so much more important.
Drift Monkey
06-02-2004, 02:33 PM
Ah, a tough choice, but a home > a car.
The white/gold fascination is partially the reason I want a white Legacy.
The only thing holding me back is the Red/Gold combo.
Dr. Zevil
06-02-2004, 03:28 PM
Red and gold would be sweet especially since it's a color that is limited to the GT, in addition to some outback models. I think you should go for it!
