^^ I seriously hope you are kidding. I haven't smoked cigars in a while, but for Cubans, I really like Romeo y Julietta. Non-Cubans I like Avo's

wow, been ages since I had one, but I used to love these little cheapo bahias from brazil the shop near me had -- awesome in every aspect; I'd choke down a few crappy de nobilis as a standby every now & then. Even though I had tried some more popularly desired (and much more expensive) types, those little brazilians were my faves by far.
I've always preferred the smaller ones, too, a la clint eastwood...
I'm obviously not a connoisseur

I love these Romeo y Julieta's (http://www.cigars-review.org/Romeo-y-Julieta-Petit-Coronas.htm)petit coronas. Other than the fact that they have my last name on them...Arguelles, they taste great, and smoke nice. I was able to get a box of them for my brother's wedding about 5 years ago. Boy was that a great month of smoking.

I have had a hard time finding them though. :(
Just found this thread. :)
 me too.
I used to like a cigar now & then. There was a cigar club right by where I live. I haven't had one in a long time thouhg. Now that I quit smoking cigarettes I'm wary of smoking a cigar. I think it would get me right back hooked on cigarettes again & I don't wanna take a chance.

This week I'm back to smoking Ashtons.
I've been smoking Cigars for many years, and find that my tastes go in circles.
Weak, to mild, to strong, to knock your socks off, to strong, to mild.....
I find that I tend to smoke the same thing for 2-3 months, then change.

I do not know how much self control you have in this area of your life. I say if you know you can control yourself from relapsing to try one every month or few weeks. If you are not sure, I would not risk it.
I have a friend who does not smoke cigarettes but he smokes 2-3 cigars a day.
That is ALOT of cigars.

Yeah man it's not that simple. I smoked cigarettes for 15 years & I quit 3-1/2 months ago. It's not a matter of self control. It's more like addiction. I feel as if it's like a recovering alcoholic that is pretty sure if he has 1 drink he'll be a drunk again. To me it's not worth the risk.

Then it is a wise decision to stay away.

It was a major step for me to quit smoking butts & I don't wanna ruin it just to puff a stogie

My consumption varies greatly- I'll go a week or so without one, then have 1-2 a day. I'm probably good for 3-4 on an average week.
In the summer I tend to have more. After work, I like ot stand on my back porch, toss a tennis ball to my dog and have a smoke.

Flor de Rafael Gonzales Lonsdale mmmmm (cuban, but awesome)
Otherwise for en everyday smoke, I have never, ever, ever had a single bad cigar from Don Tomas.
They are not expensive at all, honduran, handmade and excellent. I highly recommend them.
We get cubans in canada and Ive had lots, I would say 75% of them had terrible draws (bought from good cigar shops) and cost over $25 each...waste of money
You can get a box of Don Tomas for ~$80....

+1, I like cigars but not enough to stand in the cold to smoke one.

Funny you mention that....the other night my Wife was at work, my little one was in bed, and for NH in March, we were having a heat wave- it was a whopping 42 out!
I put on a hat, coat and gloves, lit a smoke, grabbed a tennis ball, and relaxed for about 20 minutes.
It was great.

I prefer Partagas Serie P No 2 and about anything from Cuaba (made in Romeo y Julieta factory in Habana) but much less expensive.
Andrew Andersen, you cant get the Cohibas' made in Cuba legally in the US but they do sell the Cohibas' that are made in the DR or Honduras. Albeit there not as good as the Cubans.
My brother inlaw works as the Partagas factory in Centro Habana and brings home cigars that dont pass inspection for retail sale.
I had my share on our last trip back to visit family.
I'll post up my humidor soon... it's pretty full of Cuban goodness, as I am a lucky Canadian who has no trade issues with Cuba!
If I'm going to spend money, I usually buy Monte #3's and if I want to save some money I go with a nice R&J.
But I was given a box of Cohiba Siglo 2's about 4 years back and still have some.
The Siglo 2 is too much smoke and flavor for me and I usually give them away as re-gifts, seeing as they are over $40.00 per cigar.
The funny thing is that I don't smoke anymore... I've cut out all forms of cigar and cigarillo smoking as of about a year ago, now I just have this nice humidor sitting around waiting for friends to come over!
Yay for no embargo's!
Pic of my humidor...
Anyone is welcome to come over and help me smoke these! They're just sitting all alone up in my bedroom... un-smoked.

1) Why is there a scorpion in your humidor.
2) If you lived closer I would drive up and buy your COHIBAs from you. :)
wow... that design really does look like a scorpian in a jar from that angle!
