I have friends that have ordered Absinthe from France and had it shipped. It is pretty expensive. We brought all of ours back from France and Spain. Interesting, clean buzz.

Red absinthe is not real absinthe.

that is correct... Absinthe is either clear (La Bleue or Blanche) or green and louches (turns a milky white) when water is added to it. When it's red, usually, it will have an absinthe base but is considered a bitter like Campari or Averna.

Oban is 14 yr, Macallen 12 yr, and Lagavulin 16 yr

Oban 14 yr is my favorite for regular drinking. I bought a couple bottles a couple years back when there was a "scare" that it wasn't going to be imported to the US anymore.
