Hi Everyone,

More racing pics of the Legacy GT in the Australian Production Car Championships. Some people have been asking about the mirrors being painted red. There are 4 classes racing in the series and the Leagcy class has to have red mirrors.

heh, too bad the little Proton Satria GTi seems to be ahead of it in most photos :)
Go Proton!
Thats been a car I always kinda liked. I think its just a rebadged slightly reengineered Mirage Cyborg R
I know the Wira is a rebadged Mitsu Lancer

The category of racing is really brilliant. It is on a handicap system where the cars are grouped into 4 categories and the cars leave the grid slowest category first and the handicap times are calculated so that all classes should theoretically come together at 85% race stage then its upto the faster classes to pass the slow cars for the win. It makes for really exciting racing with lots of passing etc.

The Protons are run by a father/son combination and often race door handle to door handle. They are in a different class to the LegacyGT and they look great next to each other. A bit like David and Goliath.

The STi had a coming together with another car which caused a "small tyre problem".

At the last round of the series the local WRX club organised a get toghether and the race commitee provided them access to park on the concret slab between the grandstands on the main straight.
