Nice.

actully more then just wraps (but the best wrap is the blackened chicken wrap)
they also have these overstuffed burritos, delicous tacos, and burgers...and then there wings, sold in a variety of sizes 5,10,15,25,50,100, 250 and they served wet and hot.
best burger is the bruno burger, its got a patti and the bun, then fried onions, bacon, mustard, mayo, letuce, tomato and onion.

Every time I go to Red Robin they screw up my order. Im not sure how far this chain extends.
Red Robin is great here. Always a decent burger, though it's clear it's not fresh beef (frozen patties).
Cheeseburger in Paradise sucks ass. The one we went to on Waikiki....two hour wait, terrible service, half frozen burgers. $30 tab for two, no liquor. Bah. I tried to do a complaint online but their website was b0rked. Avoid at all costs.

Went to Benihana in Bethesda a while back.... It used to be OK. But one would think that if you go to a Japanese steak house that you would have Japanese Chefs.... But from the hostess to the bartender to the bustboy to the Chef.. all Hispanic! Food was tasteless and no entertainment with flipping knives..... $80 for crappy food.. Should have known cause the place was empty... Will never go back.....

Yea, if you like corn in every dish..... I'm sorry if I come across trite and have said this before but I have been to many a restaurant for years and years and then one day the food sucks. You go back again and it still sucks. Then you notice that the staff has changed and then you see your answer... They are only good at their authentic food styles no doubt.
I do love good fresh Mexican food not El Torrito, or Don Pablo but good small places like Azteca on RT108 in Clarksville which is authentic Mexican food....Sorry for the Rant....;)

If you read my post you would read that when one goes to the same restaurant for many years then one day it is different you would know more then the average N00B that is new to the restaurant and would not know that the food has changed. I only say this from personal experience. It's upsetting when you go to the same place for 7 years then one day it sucks...
I don't have anything against the workers or cooks in the kitchen but I do have a problem with the owners who are only looking to increase the profit margin and hire a min wage cook who follows a recipe but has no idea if how it should taste....
Example, my wife used to get a vegetable korma dish from a great Indian restaurant in Columbia for years then one day it has corn in it with Lima beans and no flavor... Look in the kitchen and surprise... We don't go to that restaurant anymore....it's been over two years now....
Anyway... The Little Kitchen in Westport, CT.
I always eat at this place, and I love it every time.
+1 that place is awesome

While I do like that from time to time I really would've loved to be able to just have the normal diner breakfast. You know, like 2 eggs with bacon & potatoes. Or a bacon, egg, & cheese or something.

Great pizza house: The Plum Tomato, right here in good ol' Colchester, CT. Brick oven, hand tossed pizza which doesn't taste like that greasy Greek pizza like everywhere else in CT. Crazy names for pizzas, and their dishes. www.theplumtomato.com (http://www.theplumtomato.com)
The chain restaurants are nothing special. All half prepared, partially frozen junk.
One place that sticks out the most is Mick and Angelo's in the Niagra Falls area of Ontario. What great food, I have to say it was over a year ago since I've eaten there, and I haven't had a meal that good since.

I think a steakhouse is a great idea. Luger's aint what it used to be.
I would be up for a different place :)
The churrasqueria that heights mentioned are nice, but sometimes with so much food it is hard to appreciate it all.
There is one on W. Broadway by Franklin St. been there once.
Maybe we can think of a nice (blank) restaurant in Queens?
There is also cheap foreign entertainment and lots of booze afterwards!

Raydolph, it depends on what kind of food you want to eat, not the money.
here is all I ask:
1. I hate chain restauRants
2. Must be classy, but not too classy
3. I woudl like to try an authentic ethnic food place
4. no mexican (tons of those around here) No seafood (have way to many of those) No asian (I eat a lot of sushi)
5. Traditional Italian, Jewish, African, Eastern european (can suck) I'd even be open for Indian if someone can translate the menu. I'm open to anything, that you guys suggest :)
6. Must have a good wine selection ;) if not, a good beer selection.
7. Live music is a plus, a BIG plus.
German/Austrian?
Like maybe a wallse? http://www.wallse.com/

2. again, you're an idiot
3. you're comin to the right place for that
4. no problem & I don't blame you
5. suggestion made

7. not so easy to come by when you're lookin for classy. Aint much in the way of classy & a band playing
That being said there's TONS of great live music places.

Well, Indian food always messes with your "stomach". I hope you're not sayin you got sick from it because that would suck. I'm feelin pretty good today though.
I haven't been to that new sushi place yet. I dunno what it's called. You're talkin about the one where the zoo bar used to be right? On the corner?

Great Eats in Phoenix
(have to have some non NYC content here)
4 Peaks Brewery, good beer and my god can the kitchen cook. Salmon BLT FTMFW. Italian Beef Beer Bread is great as well.
Raz's- Only open part of the year, raz tends to travel and pick up new food ideas, you can sit at the bar/kitchen and he will just keep feeding you until you say 'when'. Good wine list as well.
Roaring Fork- Lamb, steaks and the green chilli macaroni all kick butt.
Sushi Eye- two locations, one has the first sushi conveyor belt in AZ, have not been to that one yet but the fish is top notch.
The Cornish Pasty Co.- think hot pockets and you have a vague idea of what comes from the kitchen, excellent combos of meats and veggies. Cheap and has good beer on tap.

So I had dinner aty Megu in NYC last night. Good....real good.
4 people, and interestingly, they allowed 3 of us to have the 6 course tasting menu & 1 person to pick a normal 3 course.
Started out with a small soup - amouse bouche. Green soybeen - nice.
Micro greens-ish salad with red snapper sahimi
Hot appy plate, with grilled mushroom, pistachio crusted sea bass, soy glazed chicken, eel with avocado.
Sashimi plate
Almond paste based amouse bouche - 'egg illusion'
Kobe beef entree
Sushi course
miso soup
Fruit dessert
Very cool decor, a bit empty at 8pm, but by 930 was going strong. I felt a bit rushed in the beggining, but overall it was well timed, at a 2.5 hour total time.

same company as Outback Steakhouse. Every time we've been to Bonefish, we've been underwhelmed. The food is expensive, mediocre and the menu uninspired. I can make Chilean sea bass and saffron rice at home for 1/4 the cost and it's 10x better (or so say my wife and family who actually like Bonefish). We're spoiled by McCormick and Schmicks and the local DC chain brewpub (Sweetwater Tavern) that has an excellent fish menu.

Great Pizza and part of what they call the 'slow food' movement, the place has about a dozen tables, and everything is cooked by two guys, one lays out the pizza, other deals with apps. They open at 5 in the afternoon, we got there at 4 and were one of the last table to get in for the first seating. Rated best pizza in the US from Bon Appetit and a few other places. If you get the change you should not hesitate to go.

Working in Princeton last week, needed a pastrami fix, but didn't want leather, so started searching.
Took a shot at a place in Edison called Harold's NY Deli. Supposedly proprietored by the same guy as Carnegie in Manhatten.
Result: Not bad, got a 26 oz. (about the size of a football) with a comp loaf of rye, few tubs cole slaw, few bags light/sour pickles for 30$. Bread and slaw very good, light pickles too floral, sour pickles too sour. Meat was not all that; seasoning was a bit bland, looked like first cut (bit too lean for me), and wasn't sliced nearly as thin as I like it. That said, it was actual pastrami, so of course I housed it anyway :)
They've got a lot of other stuff on the menu I'd like to give a shot some day, but like a lot of Jewish deli style places, hold on to your wallet, because those enormous portions aren't free.
