I kept my 95 Legacy after purchasing my 2005 LGT. It has approx 120K miles. I have had it for 2 years now and it has never been too fond of the cold weather. After starting it up the car almost seems to stutter and the idle RPMs fall and rise for about 10 seconds or so. Once I get going it is fine, only right after start up. Someone metioned it may be a faulty oxygen sensor.

Has anyone experienced this same problem? How much would this be to fix?

Sounds like the typical symptoms of a faulty coolant temp sensor. There are 2 sensors, one for the gauge and one the ecu uses. So your gauge could read correctly but the ECU isnt getting the same info. Theres a 50/50 chance it will set a CEL depending on how bad the sensor is.
