Anyone used these tires? I'm thinking of getting a set for when I move up to Saratoga Springs, NY in Dec. They were recently added to TireRack, and it looks like they got great reviews, and aren't that expensive. Link:

Thoughts?

I looked at them for my wifes Impreza.....The Michelin dealer said.."Don't do it"
He says they are not intended for any kind of "Performance" car....we went with Pilot Alpin II's They are awesome and were the same cost barring a few dollars.
Nokian RSi's on my LGT...even better.:)

+1 on the ICE's being overkill. Alpine II's are what I rock and they are great!! They get a little squirmy in triple digits but what winter tire doesn't  :hide:

Where do you buy Nokians? Virtually no one carries them online.

...I called Kaltire and got a quote...something like $1100 or $1200 with tax and everything. Ouch. Can't see shelling out that much (though I know it's a great tire!). Can get Dunlops or Goodyears for about $650-700 mounted and balanced.

I think prices in Canada are still "over-inflated" compared to the states, despite the Loonie now being worth more than the dollar.

Nokian does their best to prevent mail-order sales. The only ones I've seen cost more than I can buy them for locally.

We have Michelin X-Ice on our Quest minivan. It's the only pair we've bought - everything else has Nokian RSI or Nokian WR. I think they're a little quieter than the RSI's, but don't last as long.
