Hello,

I will be ordering some 18x8" wheels with new AS tires for my Spec.B next week.

I am either going to get Rota P1s (19.2lbs), OZ Ultraleggeras (18.4lbs), or SSR GT7H (19.4lbs).

The tire sizes I have been considering are:

245/40/18 (Overall diameter = 25.71, stock OD is 25.61, sidewall is 3.85", stock is 3.80")
235/40/18 (Overall diameter = 25.40, stock OD is 25.61, sidewall is 3.70", stock is 3.80")
225/40/18 (Overall diameter = 25.71, stock OD is 25.08, sidewall is 3.54", stock is 3.80")If it helps, I lived in rainy Portland, OR where we only get snow a couple times a year. I may occasionally drive up to the mountains in the snow, but mostly drive in the city.

What do you guys recommend?

I don't need to, I live in sunny SoCal. :)

Cool - thanks for the votes everybody.

I went with 235/40s. Decided to run ContiWinterContact TS810 Sports this winter, then get a new set of dedicated summers next spring. :)

Why a wide winter tire?

^ Good Q:

Because in a year or so, I'll be using them on a new STI, and I wanted to make sure they'll fit the STI wheels. :)
