I've narrowed it down to 2 choices

gram lights 57Optimise in grey or Rota TarmacIII in anthracite

18inch wheels

i can get the hookup on rotas.. i might be able to get a 15-20% hookup on the gram lights too.

Would they be worth the extra money? Many people argue rotas are a bit soft and bend easily but many argue they dont...

gram lights are just 'better' wheels

gram lights ~19.5lbs each rotas around 21?? not sure

what is the consensus

I am in the same boat, go rotas and save a few bucks for other mods or go 'name brand' and have no extra money. It is tuff, for 99% of people you will not notice a difference nor have any issues with either. It is more of a bragging point for most I think to say they have the 'real deal' and not a knock-off. I do prefer the look of the 57's, but the rotas are also a nice looking wheel.

i might get the Optimise for the uniqueness factor... tons of subarus in Atlanta. Many have rotas. Never seen gram lights and nobody buys the Optimises! they buy the 6 or 7 spoke ones. haha

but rotas are cheaper!

pretty sure the 18x8 T3's are 20lbs

It's highly unlikely you would be able to tell the difference of one or two lbs difference in each wheel anyway.

Go with whichever one you like the look of best.

rota = hubcentric and easy to replace

the low selling gram lights become unavailable within a couple years and finding a replacement if you need it will be a pita ........ and they aren't hubcentric. ;)
